There was a similar story yes. I think it was in the beginning or so. But I believe the man that she stayed with accepted her for who she was and same as she accepted him for someone who could listen. Still, these type of stories just moved my heart (especially liked Len's version too).

I just noticed in this video that in all those little memorys that Rin must have been made to replace the daughter of that scientist.
