@bluecatcinema well Guilmon and Renamon seem to be stronger than normal rookies. Renamon beat several champions before ever digivolving, and Guilmon beat Icedevimon which is a Fallen Angel type, very strong. Terriermon is just lazy

I dont get it. How does a rookie beat an Ultimate? Guilomon is a naturally powerful & even hazardous rookie. But even with a few modify cards here & there he's still just a rookie! @DaiohArashi Runaway Locomon is, but this one is after Episode 18 (for reasons I won't say yet) and before Episode 19 (due to the whole Impmon thing, as well as Makuramon running around and the earthquake at the end of the Kumbhiramon episode to foreshadow Vikaralamon)

@Corechase Its also because of the experience Guilmon got when he absorbed the other digimon during the season. Digimon Tamers, is really just an anime RPG. Well all of them are really but Tamers is the only one where they absorb data after the battle, correct me if i am wrong, but when Guilmon, Renamon, Terriermon defeated a digimon their data was absorbed instead of reverting them back to a digiegg, so it is like they are gaining experience points so they get stronger after each battle.

it's also why the film has differences from the series - fox didn't dub the films, but dubbed the season.

Y'know, the Tamers are weakest when separated. They're very much a team that works best as a team. It seems like, in other seasons, they do pretty okay when they're broken up or doing something individually. They're still a team and work best as a team, but it seems like the Tamers do much worse than other groups when they're by themselves.
