Stormcloaks are actually evil. They represent Nazis because they believe their race, the Nords, are higher than all other races. If you're not a Nord, die or get out. The imperials accept all races. The ban on Talos was the only way to defend themselves from the Elves of the Aldmeri Dominion. Otherwise it would be ELVES controlling the whole place. Imperials are good, join them.

You may notice that Ulfric Stormcloak will be all fine with you joining if you're a nord but if you're not, he'll allow you to join with a kind of mean attitude. Notice that Toby would technically be one of the ONLY Imperials in the Stormcloaks because they normally don't let them join.

@urfavoritegamer100 But the stormcloaks aren't really a parallel to the Nazis because the Nazis didn't rise to power due to a rebellion. I can definitely see similarities though. I joined the Stormcloaks because the Empires seemed like chicken-shit douchebags so I just decided to join the Rebellion. I'm going to join the Imperial Legion the next time I play the game to see the storyline.
