I'm also interested in your chord shapes that you're using and have tried slowing the vid to catch which digit goes where! It is the placing of 3rd and 4th fingers on the bottom strings in G and D major that caught my eye.
I'm really a guitar player who picks up the Mandolin occasionally, so technique (or lack of) may be unorthodox, as it is self taught. The only fingered chord I use when playing the melody is using the thumb on the 4th string second fret to imply the D chord. When playing by myself, I often hit a stray string if the note is relevant.
Yes, Crafter. It was a £50 bargain, I would have preferred natural wood. It's much better than the Czech one I had previous.
