Scout is for n00b. Assault are badass who fight, medic are the best team-player, engineer various. But scout is the only class really useless except for spawn kill.

If your gonna be a bush wookiee a mile from the front line, then be a mile in front of the front line, flank the enemy, get in a good position with views over common enemy locations and then just spot, don't give yourself away by killing anyone you see as this will only mean that person is going to respawn, kill you and then meh. Instead spot like hell telling your entire team where the enemies are constantly. Hopefully your team will clock on and you'll get a ton of spot assists. ^.^

@MrMotty654 No you're right I play hardcore since recon is easier, that's why my main class is assault. As for arming / disarming mcoms, I think my 39% VIP rate can speak for itself. When I'm 1600 points ahead of the 2nd person in the game, its usually because of arming / disarming Mcoms and / or destroying tanks and such. The thing is, I don't like to rely on other team mates. Atleast in hardcore I can do my own thing and do it well.
People are so stupid on online games in general I swear this game, has a counter for practically every stratagy, its just people are too thick to work it out. Snipers are piss easy to counter. lets say your attacking and u keep getting sniped on your way to the objective (on rush) . Use your brain, use a smoke grenades, they can't hit what they can't see! Hopefully people will see this and will use it to effectiveness on BF3.
When I first started playing bfbc2 I used sniper class (coming from mw2) and got powned because of the difference in speed and physics. I then started using medic-owning with the lmg, then on to engineer (driving tanks, repairing shit, destroying tanks), then assault (gained heaps of experience in attacking and accuracy), I now use recon (sniper) and (in rush mode) I get an average 25 kills per game with about 3 deaths and many disarms/arms of the target. Start with easy class and work your way.
@SpringZOneR Recon is easy, stop making it out like it's some difficult unplayable class. You were more than likely playing it wrong, but its definitely not difficult.

@MrMotty654 Battlefield bad company 2 is not all about teamwork. You can arm an m-com and defend it yourself. Maybe it's different on PC with 32 players on each team, but on console where it is only 12v12 it's MUCH easier to do things yourself. I don't like to depend on team mates because, the fact is most people are bad at the game. You are too, most likely.
Also, no. Not all level 50s are 195-200, go on the leaderboards there is plenty that are around 90-150.

When I play defense on rush, I motion mine the objectives (I call out an assault guy to refill me) and pick a good spot for me to pick off/spot unaware enemies. I usually get get at least 10-20 kills and 15 spot/motion mine assists. While my assault teamates refill me, defuse and kill enemies they can. Enginers take care of vehicles. And the medics revive/heal me/teamates. Without a [spotting] recon in a game it's hard to win.
When I play recon on attack in rush. I pick my spot, near the objectives, spot, and take out enemies defusing bombs or other snipers taking out my team. I don't see what's so bad about that. I help the team out a lot more then the assault players who run into no enemies because of my support, then just plant the bomb and sit there with easy engagements, because I spot people for him. I rank on the top of the board on a lot of games just because of assists from spots and motion mines.
I feel better with a shotty (or other al class weapon) recon covering my back and throwing motion mines around the team's path than a bushwookie on a hill getting one kill every 30 seconds on enemies who aren't even affecting me yet.
Those motion mines seem better for flushing out enemy positions around points too. Though I guess Recon is useful at any distance.
your actually totally wrong, just wikipedia 'reconnaisance', its your task to lead the way, not sitting in the back of your spawn being a naab, i mean, why do you have motion sensors ? to camp in the back? no, for clearing the way for your team, your guide is a guide in how to be a naab
@TheBerg366 i can, but i mainly play my objective, i try to arm m-coms and throw motion mines and flank around, an aggresive recon can be a pain in this ass for the other team, a recon camping back in the spawn isnt, they only shoot stationary target and throw a mortar strike now and then
recons can still do some good with a shotty, as long as they are still using their motion detectors and mortors while getting all up in the other teams face. I don't do it personally, but it still makes use of their abilities. all that bushwookie business is bs though. especially the fags who would rather use magnum ammo instead of spotting for their team. it aint hard guys, just don't be a lazy sack who thinks his 120 points helped his team win.
Going from PC BF to 360 BF was frustrating for recon for me. No one seems to understand the concept of spotting and playing recon as a support role. Flangstable, love the vid. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to see people, especially level 50's (those guys that are supposed to know what they're doing), using shotguns and ARs with the recon class. There's no usefulness to the team in that. But I forget, COD has made everyone think that there's no such thing as supporting your team.

@MrLdbz Recons are way more versatile than you think they are. Let's pickup your little examples and talk about them. A recon could easily flush out a cluster of five guys AT ONCE with a single stick of C4 (he even won't have to encounter them face to face since he uses his motion sensors to pinpoint their exact location. That goes for vehicles, too. He just have to put two sticks of C4 on that tank to take it out instantly. Chopper pilots can easily get headshotted...

I admit that the recon kit is the hardest one to master, but once you get the hang of using all the gadgets to their fullest the recon kit will be the most deadliest you've ever played. But I am more a dedicated engineer because I enjoy the AT4 and the fact that SMGs are superior to everything in QCB.

@MrLdbz ppl dont fucking understand sniping. your not supposed to be seen. you use a powerful rifle for 1 shot kills. you shoot on sight and so on and so forth. and snipers provide cover while for example arming a bomb.
Recon means you can also be effecive at close range, as aggressive recon. Personally, I switched to aggressive recon and I really liked it more than sniping, which is boring. It's way more effective than just sniping. You have motion sensors on the front line and a very accurate and powerful weapon to help your team. Just search for "Sgt.enigma" on Youtube.

First off, ANY Class can spot enemies... Also, close range recon players are the MOST built for close quarter combat. C4 + Motion Sensors + All Kits + ghillie suit = Killing Machine. Secondly, you obviously believe the Recon class should be used at range, yet you use 12x scope w/magnum ammo... There's NO point to that. At range its ALWAYS 1 shot head shot kills, 2 shot body kills. Awful tutorial, I might actually need to make a REAL tutorial to teach you damn snipers how to use this class right.

When I first started playing bfbc2 I used sniper class (coming from mw2) and got powned because of the difference in speed and physics. I then started using medic-owning with the lmg, then on to engineer (driving tanks, repairing shit, destroying tanks), then assault (gained heaps of experience in attacking and accuracy), I now use recon (sniper) and (in rush mode) I get an average 25 kills per game with about 3 deaths and many disarms/arms of the target. Start with easy class and work your way.

Maybe it's different on PC with 32 players on each team, but on console where it is only 12v12 it's MUCH easier to do things yourself. I don't like to depend on team mates because, the fact is most people are bad at the game. You are too, most likely.
Also, no. Not all level 50s are 195-200, go on the leaderboards there is plenty that are around 90-150.

When I play defense on rush, I motion mine the objectives (I call out an assault guy to refill me) and pick a good spot for me to pick off/spot unaware enemies. I usually get get at least 10-20 kills and 15 spot/motion mine assists. While my assault teamates refill me, defuse and kill enemies they can. Enginers take care of vehicles. And the medics revive/heal me/teamates. Without a [spotting] recon in a game it's hard to win.

When I play recon on attack in rush. I pick my spot, near the objectives, spot, and take out enemies defusing bombs or other snipers taking out my team. I don't see what's so bad about that. I help the team out a lot more then the assault players who run into no enemies because of my support, then just plant the bomb and sit there with easy engagements, because I spot people for him. I rank on the top of the board on a lot of games just because of assists from spots and motion mines.

I feel better with a shotty (or other al class weapon) recon covering my back and throwing motion mines around the team's path than a bushwookie on a hill getting one kill every 30 seconds on enemies who aren't even affecting me yet.
Those motion mines seem better for flushing out enemy positions around points too. Though I guess Recon is useful at any distance.

Going from PC BF to 360 BF was frustrating for recon for me. No one seems to understand the concept of spotting and playing recon as a support role. Flangstable, love the vid. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to see people, especially level 50's (those guys that are supposed to know what they're doing), using shotguns and ARs with the recon class. There's no usefulness to the team in that. But I forget, COD has made everyone think that there's no such thing as supporting your team.

@MrLdbz Recons are way more versatile than you think they are. Let's pickup your little examples and talk about them. A recon could easily flush out a cluster of five guys AT ONCE with a single stick of C4 (he even won't have to encounter them face to face since he uses his motion sensors to pinpoint their exact location. That goes for vehicles, too. He just have to put two sticks of C4 on that tank to take it out instantly. Chopper pilots can easily get headshotted...

I admit that the recon kit is the hardest one to master, but once you get the hang of using all the gadgets to their fullest the recon kit will be the most deadliest you've ever played. But I am more a dedicated engineer because I enjoy the AT4 and the fact that SMGs are superior to everything in QCB.

Recon means you can also be effecive at close range, as aggressive recon. Personally, I switched to aggressive recon and I really liked it more than sniping, which is boring. It's way more effective than just sniping. You have motion sensors on the front line and a very accurate and powerful weapon to help your team. Just search for "Sgt.enigma" on Youtube.

First off, ANY Class can spot enemies... Also, close range recon players are the MOST built for close quarter combat. C4 + Motion Sensors + All Kits + ghillie suit = Killing Machine.
