I ALWAYS put sunflowers at the back, then the attacking plants further up and the line of defense (wall-nuts) upfront

that was the tactic i used when i didn't have the garlic

also i use snowpea on every possible level apart from the roof

i put rocks in the front row with chompers right behind it and the chomper eats zombies on the other side of the rock. i know it is called the walnut, but i call it the rock. and the chompers are just as good as cherry bombs or better at getting ride of that trouble zombie that is about to reach the house.

This is probably the worst strategy I've seen. You're pretty sun-happy lol. Using the spud mine first is a good way of getting extra sun to make SUN FLOWERS not anything else. You're totally failing dood.

That could be applied to all plants though. If you put a chomper right behind a wall-nut it will eat whatever attacks the nut giving you some leeway if a zombie with a pail is attacking or it get's pole vaulted. Yes it takes time to chew but you just need to know how to get around that.

Still, there are things that are cheaper than the Chomper. Only way to make him useful when a lot of zombies are coming is to put a wall/tall-nut in front of him and make sure to be ready to put another Chomper behind him in case of the vaulting zombies. Even then, you can't do that for all the rows, just certain ones. Hence, I prefer Mines and Squashes. When one is unavailable, you can use the other.

Everything side your house! First, sun flowers. Then turret plants. Then ice plants. Then more turret plants. Then all other to cherry bomb, when ou need them.

Your sunflowers are in the way. If you switch the peashooters and sunflowers, the peashooters get more shots in the same time (because the bullets have to travel a shorter distance). Also, I can't understand why you left the freezing pea shot thingy out. Yeah, you can win on the early levels like this, but you'll get stuck fast in the later levels with these kinds of tactics...

This is bullshit, the shooting is time based not ranged based. So no more shots are fired if you plant them closer. And second the game is pretty easy so its actualy harder getting stuck than finishing the game.

You should have planted the 5 sunflowers early at the beginning. Early zombies can easily be killed by placing landmines. Once the 5 sunflowers are already planted your resources is pretty much more that what you need to defend from zombie. Putting the sunflower is a big risk, which pays quite handsomely too. Peashooters at the back are nice as long as the sunflowers in front is not eaten.

He is way to slow on resource gathering. by 1:30 I would have had 5-6 sunflowers and working on more. With more sunflowers you can fill two rows of peashooters, and be a match for anything on the level.

Man, no offense, but you play weird. With the sun flowers out in front like that you're setting yourself up for a fall. I play it safe, put the flowers in the back row or back two rows, and put the peashooters in front of them. From there, build a defense of wall-nuts and those gobbling plants. Gradually upgrade to double/tri shooters, occasionally moving up the wall-nut wall if you have the funds.

Like chocobees said: Building the sunflowers in front of peashooters is much safer. This way, you will at least have the peashooters, instead of nothing, when the zombies get that far. Furthermore sunflowers are cheaper.

The beauty of it is you can do whatever you want, he's attentive enough to keep his stuff going, and managed to make it out alive.

I've yet to play the game, so I've no idea what my strategy would be, but I actually like the inventiveness of it. He set up mines to protect the flowers and walls to stop the ones with armor until the peas pick them off.
