World of Echo has changed my life. Nearly everyone on these comments has heard of Arthur Russell before me. I have been listening to his music for less than a week, but in that time I have developed tenfold as a vocalist (focusing on unintelligible lyrics, coupled with a Liz Frasier influence) and even more so as a minimal artist. This is more than music, I feel as if I have been given a mentor, and that his music is an outpouring of my soul. Thank you Arthur Russell.

too everyone saying tthey cant understand the lyrics, it was intentional as arthur russel admitted "after listening to w.o.e. as well as foregin language singing, i've enjoyed the musical effect of words as sounds, but where the meaning is noy totally withdrawn."

Just saw an amazing modern dance performance from Nederlands Dans Theater (choreography by Swedish Johan Inger) and they danced to Arthur Russell's music..

It's a shame that Arthur Russell died in 1992. The world lost one of it's most creative songwirters before he really had a chance to hit it big. However, I take pride in the fact this talented musician was born in Oskaloosa (i'm an Iowan).
