The silencer has NOTHING to do with the exhaust system, it just silence's. Only on streetbikes he can be negative for the performance. but an mx silencer is totally open, so its no change for the engine if its there or not

I have a 2003 CR250R but yeah, u should change the jets and settings if u can an aftermarket exhaust. I went with a full FMF exhaust system and they have what you need for jet settings on their website. Very helpful...runs great when u adjust the jets.

yeah no problem. I've got two bikes with the FMF Fatty pipe...and i've got the FMF Q silencer for trail riding and the FMF Powercore and Shorty for just power increases. The FMF Fatty gives a noticeable power gain but you get the most out of it if you get the jets set correctly. But yeah. FMF's website helped me out big time.

I ordered it from rockymountainatv I paid like 360-370 I believe. It is the best performance pipe I've ever had. I have used the gnarly one before but the SST works perfectly with my bike. I definitely recommend it. If you do buy the header SST pipe, you MUST buy the SPECIFIC SST silencer.
