  • @bandida790 Concuerdo contigo, yo tenia mis 14 años en esa epoca, pero en verdad este tema lleva tambien a estados de nostalgia extrema y tristeza indescriptible....a pesar de todo es una excelente composición algo triste por cierto : )

  • There's something about these sounds that I find amazingly appealing. They give me a sense of being in a bar with a hanging disco diamond ball.

  • could anyone please upload Gil Ventura's version of El Bimbo?

  • If tiis is an authentic Aghan music composition, why is Paul Mauriat mentioning the composer of this song as " Claude Morgan". This is intellectual property heist !!!!

    Classic

  • i can listen to this all day without tiring

  • Bailemos el bimbo!!!!!!!

  • I heard this tune when I was growing up n kind of like it but never knew the title/composer. Few yrs back, I was digging thru my hubby's CD's collection when I saw one titled Best Mood Collection n this song was in the compilation. But still I couldn't tell who the composer was cos everything was written in Japanese! I was browsing Utube one day when I stumbled upon a posting of a live performance of this song. It was then I knew it was by Paul Mauriat. Yeah, I'm a big fan since then.

  • Always wondered what this was. You'd hear it in department stores and dentists offices all through the '70s. If I remember correctly, WBZ-FM used to use this as filler between the last "top-40" record they could fit and the WBZ-AM news, which always began on the hour.

  • the best version of bimbo

    thank you

  • very nice song

    i like it soo much

  • The orignal song was made by Ahmad Zahir. here is the link for whom, who wants to see it. youtube.com/watch?v=rt5rxV3KMgU. ENJOY CHEERS!

  • la versione Italiana, chi la cantava?

  • indeed its wonderful but origanlly music composed and written and arranged by the great late afghan singer of all times Ahmad Zahir in 1972 and song is called Tanha Shodam Tanha, checked that out too.

  • @RomeoReturns Thank you for the information, I will see if I can find the song you refer to...

  • @evadiendome : He is right, here is the link for the orignal: ww.youtube.com/watch?v=rt5rxV3KMgU

  • @RomeoReturns listen man im an afghan as well but get over this.. Paul Mariut released this label first time in 1950s who knows if Ahmad zahir was even a singer by then, He performed it in 70s almost a decade later it would have been nice if he had done it but he hasn't .. as an Artist I would love to credit the original artist so please stop spamming it on every el bimbo video unless u hav a proof.

watch A Bout de Souffle fench movie frm 1959 this music is used in dat movie

  • @2fan thanks for you information but as per my research. it was by zahir. and tried to search the movie A Bout de Souffle. can you please send the link for that 50's version.

  • @RomeoReturns Algerian with French culture?

  • @xmurli Isn't it French with Algerian culture these days..? =P

  • @RomeoReturns 1971 see in the wikipedia search for Bimbo jet

  • @RomeoReturns Thank you! I think it's important to know the origin of song, i.e. an early hit for The Beatles "Til There Was You", was actually from The Music Man, which predates the Beatles recording. As well, many people think the surf guitar instrumental "Miserlou" is an American tune, it is not. Well worth reading up on the history of that song, fascinating!

  • @RomeoReturns

Ahmad Zahir had a lovely voice, but he wrote Farsi lyrics and sang them to the tune of El Bimbo. El Bimbo is the original. Another one of his famous songs was a tune copied from "Those were the Days My Friend".

  • Awesome song

  • one of my favourites, thank you

  • This music reminds me of Police Academy

  • The Japanese title for this tune is called "Olive's Necklace."

    Go figure! ; D

It was a smashing hit in Japan along with "Love is Blue." I remember my mom playing his records all the time!!

  • tthis is afghan song origignal look to wikepedia intersting

  • it's definetly blue oyster bar song lol

  • I have this record....what do you think about that?

  • ...Cool :)

  • @999Atwood I envy you! :)

  • @chix6 I shouldn't rub it in I guess but I do like it. It reminds me of Bill Wyman's "Green Ice" soundtrack. I like that one too.

  • Simplesmente Maravilhosa a Orquestra de Paul Mauriat.

  • do frenchs have a special talent at creating such great musics? paul mauriat, francis lai, franck pourcel...

I think he too is French ?

  • Excellent !!!

  • I love it!

  • Porn movie sound!

  • thanks!!! fantastic track!!

  • You're welcome ;)

  • Ahmad zahir sand Tanha Shodam in 1971, then this french band plagerised it and made recorded this album in 1974!!!! they have to pay the overdue royalties to the Zahir family...dont believe me? do youre own research and ull come up with the same conclusion.

  • Hello...In all honesty I can't say I know anything about that...but surely in any event, you can't deny that this is a fantastic arrangement.

  • Very nice and clean version, others on youtube have a lot of static. Thx for posting!!
