  • Before Tony Soprano , there was Ray Luca .

  • офигенная песенка и отличный сериал

  • Tv shows no longer have great intros like this anymore. The intros themselves were a piece of art! Many shows today don't even have intros at all!

  • This show was broadcast in South Africa in the late 80s/early 90s. I loved it! We used to get really great American shows in our country back then!

  • The broads looked a little 80's in places and the synth was disturbing but, wow, I love this show-guys blasting away with wild abandon. Some interesting shots of Chicago and Vegas too. Fremont street looked beautiful. Now it's just......lame.

  • It's good that the show didn't last long - it surely would have turned to crap eventually. Some lame-ass movie producer is sure to remake this some day.

  • I'm a weapons guy and I loved this show...therefore, the scene at :58 is just great (stop it on the muzzle blast for max effect!). I can't begin to say how absurd it is to blast away with a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle [FULL auto in that scene!]) in a casino, paper mache wall kind of setting. But I love it anyway for the following reasons: ) gangsters need to shot at by BARs (and other types of WWII-era stuff);2) it's a great way to show the team's over-the-top aggression in going after Luca.

  • they need a damn remake of this how

  • la classe vraiment , sa me rapelle une epoque ,

  • this movie shown in Russia at 1993.

  • -who is this Don Perigner guy?

-Don Perignon! it's the champagne you idiot! :D XD

good ol' days of a long time ago

  • @Lembuti Nah, the best is Rock'n Roll Polka - so bad it's good!

  • Awesome theme song and great show!

  • Is it just me or is that the best uppercut that has ever been thrown in history?

  • yeah i agree

  • Torello was a bad ass!! I loved that show when I was a kid!

Too bad Public Enemies sucked big time. I used to like Michael Mann way of directing movies but the last movie that I really enjoyed by Mann was Collateral. I think he lost it.

  • @michalrytel Mann's biggest problem lately has been his obsession with digital video cameras. He took like half of what he did with Collateral (D-Video), and just went over the limit with Miami Vice and Public Enemies. D-V just makes movies feel more slow-paced, and hard to follow at times.

  • @michalrytel I think talented directors like Micheal Mann suffer from the same thing that other talented directors like Francis Ford Coppola suffer from. Their talents have been ruined by their own massive egos.

  • This song is good for Flirty Girl Fitness.

  • Runaway (Crime Stroy version) As I walk along I wonder what went wrong With our love, a love that was so strong And as I still walk on, I think of the things we've done Together, while our hearts were young I'm a walkin' in the rain Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain Watching all the play go by some live and other die And I wonder. I wa-wa-wa-wa-wonder why Ah-why-why-why-why-why I don't want away And I wonder what make me stay Runaway, run-run-run-run-runaway
  • Michael Mann is a genius. Miami Vice, Crime Story, Collateral... The opening is brilliant. You'd think that vegas lights, old cars and all has been done a million times, but no, not like this, this is absolutely brilliant, especially for the kind of a show this was. Hitting play now for 10th time in a row !!!

  • I used to watch this show when it was in syndication in the early 90's. Helped me get through many a lonely night haha

  • this song stays in my head all day my head be bops crazy i know i love it and the show

  • Great first season and then the network reworked it and ruined it. Second season has a few good episodes though

  • I love this series and have it on DVD so I can watch it whenever I wanto, love Dels new version of "Runaway" here for Michael Manns super series, the best ever, love you Del for ever and ever, caro

  • Great theme song - Del Shannon sings the theme song here, called "Runaway" which was a major 1961 hit around the world, and made it's comeback in 1986 (25th Anniversary of the song) with Crime Story.

  • Quisiera bajarme el video; por favor como me lo puedes facillitar. Gracias

  • Great Opening and theme. I love it. Really grabs the viewer. I'd love to see the show come back. Either with Dennis Farina or a complete remake. But Only By Michael Mann.

  • Dennis Farina was really a cop and it was funny; he said the cops on the show were even WORSE than HE was! Yikes!

  • My old billiard instructor was a Chicago cop in the same time frame and knew about Farina. She said he had a fairly easy beat (Streeterville...the Gold Coast/Michigan Avenue area of Chicago) whereas she was assigned to the West Side's Fillmore district (think war zone).

  • Can't argue since I don't either territory but it's a good story.

  • LOve Del's reworking of the lyrics. Was there ever a video of Del performaning this version of his classic?

  • YOUtube will never die as long as peepol kept on posting nostalgic clips such as this. who needs doc brown's deloreon when a simple clips like this can take you through time? man... i miss those good times

  • Great series, loved John Santucci as Paulie.
