  • No relation to Mazda cars.

  • I think Mazda brand is the old name of Toshiba light bulb, Japanese electric company.

Mazda is not the name for any Japanese. It is the name of god (of light).

  • I have to rethink. This Mazda trademark existed while the car company is still called Toyo Kogyo. Before TK will use that same trademark by the will of Matsuda family.

  • lightbulbs are like poeple

they can annoy you over trial things,

    they die easy,

but for some reason we can't live without them

erm...what was i advertising again...oh yea, BUY MAZDA LIGHTBULBS

  • They were owned by Associated Electrical Industries , a UK company. When we actually made things like light bulbs ourselves.

  • not the carmaker?

  • Nope, totally different company. Although Mazda Motors did exist in the 1950s, they were virtually unheard of outside of Japan. Additionally, they weren't even making cars then, only 3-wheel utilitarian motorbikes.
