I tried to field strip one of these today and the guide rod wouldn't come out of the slide even when it wasn't touching the barrel or anything. It simply wouldn't come out. Anyone know why?
@AdmiralGST - But if you pull the slide off at the same time as you pull the trigger you might hang something up. When you took yours apart in the video it sounded different then mine or my friends. pull the trigger first then pull off the slide. Try it. Much more simple too.
These video tutorials aren't thorough enough. I forgot how, but my brother had shown me how to disassemble the trigger mech and other parts for cleaning. I have a PT 27/7 Pro DS .40.
@sajjadtourus I can do that for you. I've got this same gun, but its a 9mm so I assume thats the gun your talking about. I'll make it a video response to this.
it just seems like you ripped it apart when you took the slide off but i don't know, maybe thats how its supposed to be. Do you field strip the compact models the same way too? Good video by the way!
@capnkirktm because they are CRAP! I own one unfortunately. Hopefully no one breaks into my house because in my opinion one of the crappiest weapons I have ever owned. Very unreliable....had several feed ramp jams. Had to send it back to factory 3 times to get it to work right. Do yourself a favor...if you want a .40 Cal buy a Glock Model 22.
thanks for the video! helpede out so much

Pull the trigger then pull it forward...
Trebor998 10 months ago
@Trebor998 You have to hold the trigger down as you slide it off.
