Our production company has already spoke with Stephen King's publicist regarding bringing this Trilogy to film. Stephen has no desire to see this as a movie as it would detract from the story. His opinion is that much of the story's appeal is that the reader must imagine the images in his/her mind and a film would remove that element thus ruining the story. We had already pursued this as a project seven years ago and that was his response.
@Devilhunter318 As far as i know, and i may be mistaken, universal is just cut the budget and didnt actualy drop the movie. And i beleive that ron howard is still plannin on doin the 3 movies and tv show idea.
