Some of you are saying the lines are given by popularity, and that's a good idea, but I joined the school choral group last year and, of course, we had tryouts for the solo-lines. Don't you think they had auditions/try-outs for the lines between all the members, just like they did for the spots in each group? I mean, the popularity theory is a good idea, but it makes much more sense for Tsunku to go through each girl of the group, and see which one fits which lines best?
tsunku give lines based on popularity and in the end their singing would be better than the other members' because they have more lines therefore more practice :P

No they didn't sing this, the group Aa~ sang this, with the three members Tanaka Reina, 14, Natsuyaki Miyabi, 11, and Suzuki Airi (the girl who's in the middle in the beginning of the video), who was 9 when she sang with the other girls.
They sang so good! And Airi grew since the real "First Kiss" Video. I hear Chisato and Mai voice and they sing really great. I just wonder why they Don't get much lines like Airi. But Airi is Great to.
Same feelings here, but usually with Tsunku, he puts it Looks before Talent. Like in Berryz, if it was Talent first it would be, Captain, Momoko, Yurina, Maasa, Chinami, Miyabi then Risako. Just when Risako performs live, she shouts at you not sings.
I'm a massive captain fan, but y'know...she comes last or second last int h favourites polls that the wota do in japan. She's ranked alongside maasa. The top two are normally Sugaya and Momo, with Miiya occasionally up there too.

Don't be annoyed by Airi, it should be Tsunku. Airi gets the solo lines because they are given to her. It's kind of silly to be annoyed at Airi for that.

Does anyone else find that he writes/produces nearly ALL the songs for all the groups a bit... creepy? I mean, I'm sure nothing like... that happens (at least I hope not) but it still makes you wonder....

No they didn't sing this, the group Aa~ sang this, with the three members Tanaka Reina, 14, Natsuyaki Miyabi, 11, and Suzuki Airi (the girl who's in the middle in the beginning of the video), who was 9 when she sang with the other girls.

Same feelings here, but usually with Tsunku, he puts it Looks before Talent. Like in Berryz, if it was Talent first it would be, Captain, Momoko, Yurina, Maasa, Chinami, Miyabi then Risako. Just when Risako performs live, she shouts at you not sings.

I'm a massive captain fan, but y'know...she comes last or second last int h favourites polls that the wota do in japan. She's ranked alongside maasa. The top two are normally Sugaya and Momo, with Miiya occasionally up there too.

Don't be annoyed by Airi, it should be Tsunku. Airi gets the solo lines because they are given to her. It's kind of silly to be annoyed at Airi for that.

@RobynVega yes, and remember that airi's parents are famous too... it might not have to do with anything but i think if her parents get upset with tsunku, it might be a landslide who wins. So that might be a reason why she has more lines. Maybe her parents wanted that for her.
