The kittens cute when it was picked up by the scruff, I know a cat when he was little, we picked him up like that and he curled up and brought his tail in between all his legs lol.
@MsJanielee When my cat had kittens, she picked them up like that all the time. So did my neighbors cats when she had kittens. Are you sure its not a normal thing??
I know you probably do not have the cat anymore, but it sounds like a cold. Maybe she/he had something in her nose. That is what my cat sounded like when she had her cold.
i think the kitten is sick or something, that noise she makes at first doesent sound normal. did she get checked by the vet?? also its good you helped the stray kitten out, i hope it all works out for her, she is very cute and beautiful
I think the cough sound was laughing. I believe cat's are ticklish on their bellies or, in the very least, sensitive. I've seen very few cats that will even let you rub their belly the way this one will.
lol it sounded like she was snorting. I think she was just to excited to get out a regular meow, or could have had a snot build up. Thank you for sharing. very cute kitten
Thats... weird. I wonder. Have you been at a vets for it? Thats expensive thought, but when you get it fixed ask the vet at the same time. Its probably nothing? lol, I have no friggin idea! Never heard that before, but I have had cats that made large high pitched noises when they awoke, so I guess its something like that.
Wait, this is a 3 year old video! :D Did you ever find out what it was?
My cat does that, the vet says it's either reverse sneezing (as previously mentioned) or it's a hiccup that doesn't quite come out right. No cause for alarm as far as we know.
Mean?? I took her in off the streets, fed her up as she was all skin and bones. Cleaned her up. Vaccinated, de-flea'd and re-homed her to a friend's house with lots of land for her to play in and another kitten that she has come best friends with. She has been named 'Dinky'. I'm sure Dinky thinks I am mean! You've obviously not had much dealing with cats, as anyone will tell u its fine to pick a kitten up by the scruff, and anyway I only had one hand! You are right though she is adorable!
thats how mom cats pick up their babies and since that is still a kitten it doesnt hurt them....However if you do it to an adult cat it pisses them off (as you have already found out)
@addorno2 Yeah. :> Older cats don't like it because it shows your the "dominant" one. I still pick my cats up like that though. I guess they know who's the boss. :P
@addorno2 Mom cats don't actually pick them up like that tho. They don't grab the skin like that as most people think, including me until I researched everything I could when my cat got caught. Well done you tho for having the heart to take the kitten in. There's many who'd have left it or tried to get rid of it. It's nice to know that there's nice cat friendly people out there. My neighbours cat makes wheezing/cough sounds but many tests show nothing wrong with him.Fit and healthy.
@addorno2 i do it to my cat and hes about a year and a half maybe two years old almost. it doesnt piss him off. but then again he knows better than to hiss or scratch when i have him :P
@stampy537 Not what I have heard at ALL. Only a kittens mother should pick it up that way, the kitten did not like it either it was comfy in it's basket. Next time use some sense and consideration and support it's bum at least.
@wakka759 mean?? why would he took her of the streets from letting the cat go by unnotice? and y would he be mean when he feed the kitchen while her body is skinny bones?? why would he be mean when he saves a poor kitten in a big world where there is so many strangers that doesen't like cats??? u call that mean???
Looks like mild "reverse sneezing" or Paroxysmal respiration - it's not actually sneezing but rather a spasm of the soft palate. It's more often found in dogs, but cats can suffer attacks as well - I have one that does. If she gets riled up or excited she'll sometimes reverse sneeze, I suspect your little one does the same when excited.
Don't hurt the baby!!!

The cat's like: "Dude WTF! I'm trying to nap!" owner makes kissy noises, "sorry guy I don't swing that way."

If you think that it might have a health problem take it to a vet. That's what they're for.
