Madan Mohan was a genius who never got the recognition and awards that he deserved.

Another gem of a song about eyes is 'Humko to jaan se pyari hain tumhari aankhen' sung by Rafi. But its composed by SJ and not by MM.

There are quite a few great 'eyes' related songs by other composers: In addition to your suggestion, one of my favorites is OP Nayyar's 'Ankho Se Jo Utri Hai' from 'Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon.' Another is 'In Ankho Ki Masti Me' from Khayyam's Umrao Jaan 1981. 'Nigahen Milane Ko Jee Chahata Hai' from 'Dil Hi To Hai' or 'Ankho Hi Ankho Me Ishara' from CID are also worth noting.
