Man I agree I got three oscars in 75 and two have paired but my albino is bigger so they can't kill him non stop brawls even my arrowana gets attacked and my pleco all out war in my tank
Btw there is this remedy you can get from your local pet shop, its a chinese one i believe and it cures that little lump they get on there chin, ive argued with afew that its not just from them bumping there head on the glass etc But this stuff works great and its like a detox for the fish, hows the fish going? The one with the lump on its chin.
yes i was using conditioner stress coat stress zyme everything and the tank was cycled i recently said fuck it i sold all my tanks i gave up i used the money to get a 60" flatt screen tv
@Fx4Ranger2002 they usually will try to rip it apart if they can so what i did is bought the ones with the some what jagged edges and after 2 times of trying to rip it out they learn not to unless they wanna get hurt mine also dug a hole inbetween them to give birth which worked perfectly for her because she was protected the whole way around
SUPER AWESOME TANK! Nice setup, healthy fish, and nice water! You did an awesome job! Where did you get your driftwood pieces? I can't seem to find any good places to get it from.
O man that looks sick man very nice only thing is thos roots look mighty sharp my oscar would be all beat to hell in one night and I only have one let alone 4 went till they get bigger
OMG! I want!! I've been wanting to get an oscar for the past 2 years. Are they easy fish to take care of? What's the appropriate size gallon for one oscar? Thanks in advance.
I like your tank..looks cool...but how many Oscars are in there? 3 or 4? How 300 liters isn't that like 80 U.S gallons? what are your nitrates like at the end of the week? and how often do you do PWC? and what %? They look greatI just have always been told and have read that 1 Oscar in 75 2 minimum 125 Do they fight at all?
Nice tank but isn't 300 Liters like 80 gallons U.S 3 Oscars???? Way overstocked and aggression problems. Your nitrates have to be out of control. I would'nt be suprised if they get HITH, 1 Oscar in 75 minimum. Those poor Oscars are suffering. Why are there so many stupid people on You tube when it comes to Oscar Care.
@funnyjew what are you talking about? 75 would have a lot of extra space, its 55 per oscar but even then you can shave that down a little and not run into any problems what so ever
@funnyjew what are you talking about? 75 would have a lot of extra space, its 55 per oscar but even then you can shave that down a little and not run into any problems what so ever.
well i have a 90 gallon tank and 300 gallon tank i i want 1 oscar for my 90 gallon tank i have aqua tech 30 60 filter a topfin 60 filter and fluval 305 canister filter in the 90 gallon tank i do 20 % weekly water changes i have not attempted to get a oscar for the tank yet cus i wanna make sure thing are were they need to be in the water levels i wanna add a 1 albino tiger oscar 2 jack dempsey and 1 green terror ciclids but i just dont wanna spend $20 on a oscar if it will die you know
hey could you help me out i have tried to keep a oscar's sevral differnt times but they always die with n the first week i know there messy fish but i have a a top fin 60 filter a aqua tech 30 60 filter and also a fluval 305 canister filter could u help me with the secret i think oscar fish are beautiful but i cnt keep them alive
@jacksonjones402 How big is your tank, how many oscars do you want to keep, what water do u use (it could be chlorine), how many water changes do u do per week (how much water do you change), what do you feed your fish and what are other fishes in your tank, if you have them? ... and than could I maybe give you an good answer :)
@jacksonjones402 do you have a heater and use water conditioner... maybe the ornaments may be leeching chemicals in the water... try keeping goldfish for a few weeks like 5 or so and then put the oscars in.. ask you local petstore but make sure the person knows what he's talking bout.. its especially good if they keeep them aswell.. but sometimes they have no idea
@jacksonjones402 I had three oscars when I was kid years ago with really basic equipment. Do regular water changes and treat the water with Prime or any other water conditioner (Prime is the best). Also, get a test kit for about 20 bucks and check the nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, metals levels in your water. They are usually not to fussy with the ph level from my experience. Once you check those levels you'll know where you're tank is at, good luck.
@jacksonjones402 hey i am actually keeping an oscar right now heres some stuff youll need a heater they like 78 degrees best aim for that, and i feed them a varied diet of prellets, minnow, worm i catch from the yard they love em and beef heart but not anymore they got sick from beef heart oh and bloodworms. you will need at least a 50 gallon tank a good filter do 25 percent water changes every couple weeks make sure you use water that has been treated provide hiding spots when young good luck
@jacksonjones402 could also be where u r buying them from too i bought 3 regular oscars and 1 albino from a petsmart were i live and theyre all still alive i went to petco and got 1 and it died 2 days laterlike he said could be other fish too i have the 4 oscars 1 pictus catfish, a black convict, 1 graumi, try to change ur gravel filter it through the bag with hot water to kill any bacteria and when i say hot water i mean boil two pans of it for every 4 pounds of it
Great tank man ! Little tip though , next time you move or clean your tank , wipe canola oil over your background then stick it back on. Then use a credit card to push out the air bubbles. That way the background will transfer through the back pane of glass :) just like in my other video .
