if you want a bit more to the symphonic side of power metal (or just symphonic metal) try nightwish and rhapsody of fire. (bands are powermetal)

Besides revelarion still saying that the dead an all who didn't trust in Jesus were dropped into the lake of fire. I'm not a Christian, but this music actually conveys the religious message in an uplifting manner, making it sound like a GOOD thing, and not being demeaning or preachy like a lot of bands are.

And that was powerful and anthemic. Damn awesome.

The message of the Bible is good indeed. It's all about the sacrifice of Jesus, He died because of our sins, instead of us, no matter what our sins are, and if we believe that, that's salvation. After realising what he had done for us of course, we do not want to commit more sins, would you want to disregard the very person who died for your sins? That's where preachiness comes in. Of course, if we were like Jesus, we could accept people as they are, and religion wouldn't be demeaning.
