What I've always found odd about this single is the cover errors.
I have both versions of the CD with different covers and the sound on them is exactly the same, I can confirm it. I am not sure which is rarer but I know one is.
They both also make the mistake of labelling one track 'The Robots (Single edit)' but it's actually another version of one of the other tracks on the single.
@BWOparadise Cool! I have been a fan of them for nearly all my 36 years of life. Kraftwerk is just the best thing that ever happend to music culture! I'm so glad you enjoy it.
@minimomaximo maybe I have the cd with tiltle errors? However, The Lp that I have contains the same information! Could I have gotten the wrong information twice between 12 year in searching? I am confused! I mean, we all know that Kraftwerk did not make any mention of the titled songs through the lyrics but when the companies get their hands on the material, they tend to make any mistake they can. I just don't know anymore and I wish I knew. Thanks to you my friend.
@alwerks1 if the picture you're showing on the video is from the cd you're playing, maybe it was a bootleg cd or a pirate one, you seem to buy imports from the internet and noone can really trust the sources, the original cover was a lime green/yellow gradient and your cover seems a dark yellow. Or maybe you have different singles that were not pressed on regular cds.
@minimomaximo Actually the audio quality is wonderful on the my cd version. The songs are the same as in my LP. I know what you mean about the cover artwork. You must know that when I make a scan of this picture to my computer, it will look a bit different. I also bought Radioactivity single from the same site. They both sound beautiful.
@alwerks1 Yes, it is Robotnik. It is posted on Kraftwerk's official MySpace page. There could be printing errors on some copies. It is easy to mix those names up. I'm sure there were probably some pressing plants that fucked up. :-) The UK 12" of The Robots remix that I have is credited to "Ralph" Hutter. :-) But all of the other copies that I have seen have this song listed as Robotnik.
This group's signature sound always ensures that when it's heard, its impossible not to realize it's a Kraftwerk track. The way their music has a deliberate 'primitive' electronic sound to it, always distinguishes it from other groups.
Thanks for sharing this. I hadn't heard it before. Cheers.
@technik56 Nope! It's Robotronik. After double checking, I see that I was not wrong the first time. My Lp and CD are labled with the same title and running time. Not to mention a few fans I know from YT all have the same information.
@alwerks1 Different ones must be labelled differently: I've just checked my CD, and this track is definitely labelled Robotnik. The track listing is i. Robotronik, ii. Robotnik, iii. The Robots (single edit). I think my vinyl copy is the same but it's inaccessible at the moment, so I can't check.
@alwerks1 Re my earlier message: on reflection, I have a feeling that this track isn't on my vinyl edition at all. Incidentally both have the same picture and background as yours but the text has different sizes, positions and colours.

As I know (as well) there is a 1991 US 3-track promo 12" labelled KRAFTWERK Robotnik. Featuring:
1. Robotnik - Kling Klang Extended Mix 7:50
2. The Robots - Single Edit 3:43
3. Robotronik - Kling Klang Mix 4:41

This song is called "ROBOTNIK" and not "Robotronik". "Robotronik" was an other Remix Version on the same CD.
