I love it! Landmark has become increasingly popular where I work - owners, senior management including HR, staff. I have politely declined but suspect I will have to find another job. Your video made me laugh for the first time since this started.

I live in Philiadelphia and this group is destroying a family member. She just regurgitates mindless drivel and talking points. I got dragged to a family forum something or other and was totally ambushed. These people are seriously dangerous and more word needs to be spread about them. Thank You!

Funny! I really enjoyed that. I did the Forum and other courses several years back and I got some benefits from it but I always held reservations about the "environment" and the messengers. If only you could give more of your versions of LE so I can refresh the basic good parts of what I learned without all the "smiles". Be sure to keep us posted bradbavarde :)

Yes, all religions can be defined as cults. IMO the one needs to discern which are healthy and life giving, how the cult uses its members, what the character of the leader(s), and what the cult is doing in society. I can think of no religion that has a perfect score. However, based on war and terror in the world, the financial exploitation of the members (and the tax payers)and those "charity for profit" groups, I think it becomes easier to separate the sheep from the goats.

This same tactic has been used to "release" people from the traumas of past sexual abuse, violence, and more. This "it's your fault reality" is a DANGEROUS game for someone whose defense ego is down after the hammering and controlled environment of the Landmark Forum.

Let me give the readers an example of psychological damage that occurs in LM. Werner Erhard, who started LM, originated the theory, that the only pain and suffering we undergo in our life is created in our heads. During one of the earliest Landmark forums (it was just called "the forum" at the time) he stated that a Holocoaust survivor was responsible for their own suffering at the hands of the Nazis!. Her experience was simply an illusion of her mind!

In addition to my own personal experiences I have heard the stories of many, which mirror my own experiences. Additionally, LGATS have a poor history fraught with legal problems, broken lives and shattered families. Don't believe me, look it up.

You cannnot compare these organizations to the boy scouts and or divorced parents. These organizations deliberately try alter ones core sense of self. There is a big difference. Life molds us, but there are checks and balances in the other organizations, not in LGATS.

This is exactly how it was presented to me when I was invovled with Werner Erhards EST when I was 12 years of age. I am now free of the harmful effects of LGATS and I have restored my critical thinking skills and I am a hard core skeptic regarding LGATS. They harm the very core of our well being. Thank you for bringing Bishop's Charles endorsement of Landmark to my attention. I am sure the Bishop's statement is well intended and true for him. However, I do not see how a program "without addressing religion or theology" could enable the Bishop to be more effective in his religious commitments and his experience and practice of his faith. Also, the existential philosophy used in LM is not compatibale with the Christian Faith and I am sure Sartre and Camus would agree.
