  • actually morgans can rein just as well as qhs just saying...

  • @HunterJumperMorgan the reining is mostly for quarter horses only. Not all Morgans can do this and actually I would like Arabs better for this sport than Morgans. Morgans are bred for high stepping and pulling wagons not reining

  • @0purple0oranges0 Ariat :)

  • Reining is preety awsome event hough I do hunt seat. Anyway most people think only Quarter Horses can do reining when Morgans excell at it as good or better than Quarter Horses. So if you want to do reining I would HIGHLY recommend a Morgan Horse!!!

  • 2:11!!!! beautiful horse!!

  • Moc krásný fotky :-)

  • ... MY EARS ARE BLEEDING. how can anyone bare to listen to this shit!?

Nice horses though. Just CAN'T STAND that music >_<

  • @Flyingfudgemuffins

I'm pretty sure... this video is about the horses :D

& I have concern for your ears... get them checked, :P

  • I just bought a reining horse and absolutely love him! Reining horses are so beautiful and amazing to ride and show! I suggest anyone who has a horse to trade it for a reiner =)

  • i like how at 4:40 the horse isnt even planted and he still kicks up dirt lol

  • The American Quarter Horse...the only horse!!!

  • bellissimo!!!

  • אייזהה תותחחח

  • gay song

  • i absolutely love reining.

    I'm training to be a reiner :)

  • Questo si che è andare a cavallo!! altro che quella cazzo di monta ingese!

  • 4:26.. Nicola Brunelli.. IL mio mito! <3

  • I'm riding western now too for a small while and I must say it really is different from dressage and jumping.. with all those sliding stops too. The very first time I tried a sliding stop, my horse did it well, and I flew almost off over his neck xD

  • when i fist got my arabian, it was not trained very well and people said it was gunna do terrible at shows, but i had faith in her and when she stopped after barrels she did a reining stop. and pinweel.. i glared at the girls and they looked at me with there jaws dropiing

  • @0purple0oranges0 haha I know I'm replying too late to help much, but Ropers are nice (and affordable :D ) If price is less of an issue, Justin boots are cream of the crop (and a sponsor of AQHA). All I use is lace up Roper's 'Horseshoe' s. I've had them for almost 6 years now. Just put some leather new on them the day before a show and they look brand new!

  • WOW!!!!!!

  • Hey guys! I am a new western rider, currently doing barrels. Can someone please explain to me what Reining is? I would love to try it. Everyone says it's so much fun!!

  • @AmandaEvans8 Reining is said to be the western version of dressage, when showing, your given a pattern to ride consisting of three stops, 4 spins in each direction, lead changes, slide stops and rundowns, and big fast and small slow circles. It's really a great sport, been riding and showing in the reining for a bit.

  • @AmandaEvans8

as Aceyfacey3 said, it's basically the western version of Dressage.

Spins, sliding stops, mostly neck reining (for a weel trained reining horse)

  • It´s fantastic.....

  • anyone know of a good western riding boot i could try?....i used to ride English and i started to reinning a year ago. i like those ones with a round toe. but im not sure of a good western riding boat. if you got fool name so i can google it thatd be amazing

  • @0purple0oranges0 Anderson Bean, really nice boots.

  • Great Movie

  • i looove reinging !! it's so much fun !!

  • the horse and rider at 2:02 is so nice together + the horse is very beautiful ^^

  • 1:27 that horse had a long long mane

  • Its horses for courses here. I personally prefer western and the music that accompanies it

  • nice video, my friends do reining, The Galbraiths? lol i love them

  • i love horse

    i love a rining

    and Quarter horse !!!!!

  • whats the name of this song

  • keith anderson, podunk

  • thx

  • yuppp

  • like aceyfacey said its just to keep them collected and to keep their balence wen there slideing..... their traind like tht to its just a difernt style of riddin.

  • i ride english so im gonna sound dumb saying this but- why do all the horses carry their heads so low?? Great video by the way, reining looks fun

  • its the way the horses are trained, it looks better for the discipline, like when the horse stops, the put their head down, it looks fancy. many qh/paint horses naturally carry their heads that way :) just the way they are trained, like dressage horses have their heads more up and in, just the way its trained :)

  • thanx!! :D

  • Sorry i didn't see you had a reply. haha well now you have another one :]]] Sorry

  • i think its to keep there bodys from falling backwards

  • it somehow makes them more collected and the canter is smoother i gues idk i never really under stood that eather. cause i ride western and gated horses and my gated horse has the smoothest collectd canter ever and she holds her head up way high like a perade horse. but i think that the Aceyfacey# person jis right to.

  • Most western horses are trained that way, especially reining horses. If you look at Barrel Racing vids they carry their heads high but ti think that's just because their excited :] English is meant to be more "proper" then western is.

  • hugo, its also the breed of horse - quarter horses (which the majority of reining horses are) have a very low headcarriage. Horses like say, the andalusian, have a naturally high head carriage. As does the Welsh cob, the freisan etc. English (which i was brought up wtih) is not 'more proper' it just comes from the military (the modern style) and so alot of the old school methods are ones they used for military means in the past. American stuff was for mainly cow herding/cutting means!

  • Probably cos i come from the UK, then english doesn't seem that 'proper' as it were. But i todally know what you mean - english is very upright and not casual and very 'reserved' as it were. western is generally far more relaxed!! I prefer the natural way now - no bits, spurs or anything like that, or shoes. Horses are so much happier now!

  • yea :]

  • lol you should see our shows... 1000-3000 dollar SHIRTS, 500 dollar chaps.

so, in some ways, english is more proper, and western is more proper, it all depends on the dicipline. :]

  • yeaaa..... i'm looking into riding english 2 and breeches are like 200 bucks and jackets are around 200 bucks too. and boots.. o god it's hard to find a cheap pair haha.

  • its not more proper at all. its just a matter of tastes, styles....

alot of the time, western needs more discipline, acttually

  • really. i disagree with that.

No offence to anyone who rides English but most of the people who ride English are stuck up snobs. Western on the other hand, there arent that many stuck up snobs.

  • @hugo12707 yuppers i ride both but still i agree

  • @DynamiteTripleThreat if you think western needs more discipline you are crazy you dont see whats behind the scenes to get these horses to this level

  • @xBornToGallopx it is just the way reining is when they stop to tell if its a good one the need to have a nice round appearance

  • GREAT vid!!!! =)

  • Reining looks like it would be fun :)

  • what is the song?

  • Is Podunk - Keith Anderson

  • nice stop @ 0:10
