  • Hot damn!

  • Awesome bass! I think Jack played 2 bass parts here - one clean and the other one filtered through a wah pedal.

  • saw him at the Cabooze bar in Mpls in the 70's - amazing!

  • Right on thanks for the great tunes, I found the janitor drives a cadilac but would love to find plunk a little funk also from this album(P J and friends)

  • When I was in my late teens, when this came out, I would place the stylus at 1:05 thru to1:52 for quick impact!! I thought it was just the dope but no-Its still my favourite ,followed closely by Jormas corners without exits on the Phos rat LP.

  • Creacher Skrecher!!!!

I saw Papa over 14 times!!!!

Hung out in his dressing room with Papa and Gretchen!!!!

Gretchen gave me the bag from her pantyhose so Papa could sign it for me!!!!

    Daaaaaaaaaaam Gooooooooooooooood Muuuuuuuuuusic!!!!!

  • love jorma's guitar.. mixes so well with the amazing fiddle of Papa John

  • I guess that's Jorma on that fucking guitar ! It's so powerul!!

And I'm sure that's Jack Casady on the bass: the sound iis unique

  • Well, I'm 56, and cannot believe what I've just surfed into here and re-discovered. Oh My God! Perhaps this was divine intervention, because I've got the grins really wide right now. I haven't heard this stuff since the mid-or-late 70's. I saw Papa and some version of the 'Plane several times in high school at big arena shows in Tucson. Grace was never with them....I don't think. Maybe I shouldn't have taken such monster bong hits. But...what incarnation of that band with Papa did I see?

  • Sounds like your "Pop" had great taste my friend!

  • wow.....gotta say I love yt cuz I NEVER would have found this otherwise.

  • ...helped to the stage by a staffer the little gray haired gent wished us a " good evening"

plugged in his fiddle and RIPPED A HOLE IN THE SKY !

  • I legend in his own right !

  • Listen to Jack at 1.19-1.24. Mean walking bass

  • Has anyone found 'Filthy Funky' by Papa John Creach? That's the track I remember dancing in the living room to in 1974 ; )

  • Live forever, will Papa John

  • Completely Swank!!! Nuff said!!!

  • to ODAWG96 - Your pop had taste

  • Oh, without a DOUBT! He introduced me to all the music I love today. He had an appreciation for ALL KINDS OF MUSIC!

  • Had Ho una on 8 track in the early 70's thank you for brining back the memories.

  • My dad had this on 8 track back in the 70's. Loved it then. . .Love it now. Somethings just don't change. Thanks for the post.

  • Thanks Again

I have been trying to find Papa for some time.

He played with Hot Tuna, and others.

    is a great talent.

  • check out the you tube vid of hot tuna and papa john doing uncle sams blues. awesome

  • can't wipe the smile off my face when I'm listening to this great man play that fiddle!!! WOW I don't think I've ever heard anyone quite like him!.

  • Jorma's lead break just tears it up. Jack's bass takes off into the stratosphere while Papa slides his way up then down the chromactic scale like a roller coaster ride.

    Gets ya there on time.

  • Gimme an hour in your garden baby and I'll show you how to plant a rose

  • The Janitor drives his Cadillac, BIG AND RED!

    Shiny and new!

They just don't seem to understand it's a bitch, YEAH!

  • janitor drives a cadillac u know

  • i have this album grrrrrr88888

  • and I gave this album away along with alot of other good ones. what the hell was I thinking?!

  • I hear you !!! LOL.

  • I think my sister keiko like this type music too
