Hey Mel:) I have some tips for you. When shooting videos you should face the light.

So that the lens of the camera is not facing the sun.(the light causes lens flare and makes it so bright) You could even put up a white sheet or white curtains to soften the light at the window(so it won't be so harsh)A few tips for focusing: maybe you could place a stuffed animal, your boyfriend, or even a chair in the place you plan on sitting.So we could see your pretty face more clearer. Her camera doesn't auto focus in video mode. Have the the same one and it blows, but she has to manually focus it so thats why the video is blurry. People need to chill out lol You're hilarious and beautiful and i love your videos =)

part of this was focused crystal clear and it looked amazing! I know it must be impossible to tell if you're in focus. Perhaps put a little mirror behind the camera so you can see the screen reflection to check if your in focus? Just a suggestion. I adore that color shirt on you!

you could also put a roller in the front the same as the blow dryer, overnight or for a while and then use the dryer and you'd get the same effect, thats how i do it. might try this way though! xxx

Mel, I also got the t3i for Christmas and I've found that if you leave it on automatic and then sit in front of it and press and hold the shutter, it will focus and then you can press record and you will be in focus. I know you're probably sick and tired of hearing people talk crap about the blurriness but I just wanted to give you a tip, no malice intended :-)
