OK Here is my spin. Late term abortion is murder. When a fetus (Very small person) becomes viable (can live outside the womb) it should be protected.

Here is the rub and the place that churches have it. That viability is a moving goal post.

Iadmire this man inthemany other thinghe is seeking to do. I sure wish he would be as decisive and a good person as he earnestly seems to be in all the other issues, when it comes to this question of abortion as it exists and not that of the other supporting issues, which in themselves also need addressing. There is a very big difference between having faith and being part of the mainstream church. Obama, I believe, is of the former. He does not let religious beliefs fuel his political decisions, and that is the reason I respect him still.

Thoughtful, non-polarized response on Obama's part. This is the kind of thinking-about-an-issue-from-m­any-angles that helps provide workable solutions to problems, and calms down conflict between factions that disagree.

I wish Obama balanced his social welfare concerns with a higher priority on protecting individual liberties and gov't checks and balances, but many of his skills are just what we need more of both as a culture, and in our President.
