Hi, I'm a guy growing long hair and I have to say your hair is awesome and very very healthy! I have a question. How come do you not have these "dents" or "hills" on top of your head. When I put my hair in a ponytail I've got all kinds of these so called "hills"...better said my hair is not nice and neat/flat on my head. Greetings from Germany

My hairs are as thik, as silky and as healthy as yours :) they're upto my butt, i mean a bit more longer, they cover my hips, an inch more longer than that. They're dark dark dark brown. Plz can u gimme some more tips I wanna grow them till my knees but whenever I ask anyone they say, trim them every month but I seriously dont wanna cut an inch of it :((( are there anymore tips apart from trimming? I just read somewhere recently, that putting your hair in a ponytail breaks the top layer of your hair and that is why we always have those little "wispys" at our forehead hairline. what do you think about this??

Use only metal free elastics.You can find them everywhere now.Throw away the other ones!

Never tighten the band by grabbing the hair and pulling the hair apart. It damages the cuticle.

Don't have a pony so tight that it pulls hard at the hair line.

I usually sleep with it down. I wear a braid sometimes too.

I have let my hair grow long several times.I was 14 when I started my first long hair journey.

I use coconut oil,never olive oil. Not sure I will make a video of that though.

I have used coconut oil a few times and every time I used it my hair would fall tremendously. I mean, there would be long strands of hair from the tip of the root. Why is that? Do you often use oil on your scalp or just ear down or on the ends?

How come you don't use olive oil? I often use that, and that too makes my hair fall. I'm only a teen.

I dont like the smell of olive oil and I hear others say it is very heavy and hard to rinse out.

I also use sweet almond oil and jojoba oil. I have NEVER applied oil to my roots. I only apply oils to the bottom half of my hair and usually it is mixed with conditioner.

I dont know why oil is making your hair fall. Are you combing it in? How are you doing it and for what purpose?

Using loads of shampoo is a common misconception. I hardly use any!

Conditioner is what I use most of! My fav is thermasilk by sunsilk, in the purple bottle!

I don't want to let my hair grow, I only want it to be just as healthy as yours. ;) But even I don't do anything to my hair (don't straight, don't dye, don't bleach and so on....) and I only use natural cosmetics and eat sensibly, I still havn't got hair like yours! I acutally hoped you that there was something extraordinary you do but apparently your hair is just special. ;)

I posted my first youtube videos in the spring of 2006, on my original JJJLONGHAIR channel. I had no copyright/watermark on them and a few users took them and uploaded them on their channels as theirs.

Youtube suspended them and I closed my channel until I learned video editing in 2007.

I also had some hair photos ripped off and posted on ebay in an extension ad.Now I write on my photos.

I use large combs and only use a brush when I blow dry. Large combs are better for long hair.

when your washing your hair, how much shampoo do you use anyway? The amount of shampoo is the reason why I cut my shoulder length hair, and also, it's pretty hard to maintain.

I hardly use any shampoo! I would say 2-3 TBSP shampoos it twice as I lather up 2 times.I Don't wash it everyday,but about every 5-6 days. The expense comes with the conditioner as I do use a lot, about 1/3 cup as a final rinse.

I don't use expensive brands either. Sunsilk conditioner and Herbal Essences shampoo which are about 3.00 per bottle and they work great.

I find long hair easy to maintain.

Thanks...but there is NO SLOW MOTION in this video. I just move slower since moving fast in a video really screws it up and makes my hair blurry, as I have learned from experience. Filming hair is not always easy, especially doing it alone with no help! LOL

My hair is real. It took many years to grow,approx 8 years. I don't use lots of shampoo as it is drying, but I do go through lots of conditioner.

If I blow dry it takes 15-20 minutes but I only do 5 min at a time.

If I air dry it can take 4 hours and longer for the under layers to dry.

I am at 55.5 inches right now and my hair is easy to care for, believe it or not :o)

Doesn't it get kind of oily if you don't wash it for a couple of weeks? And by the way, you have gorgeous hair, so silky! My hair is the same thickness as yours and almost the same color (more dirty blonde) and I had it at brawstrap length, and I just cut it to my shoulders! I have cut my hair many times! It took about 7-8 years for this length with many small trims and good hair care in between.

My goal is to grow to 56 inches once in my life as I always cut it back to about 40 inches for years. I wore it down and hated sitting on it so always cut it. Now I just do a lot of buns and keep it up most of the time. It is 53.5 inches now. Hope you reach your goal-best of luck to you.

i had that when i was little it was 2 inches of my knees, then i got it cut up to my shouldrs. but in 2-3 years it grew down to my but again, its now around 3ftish.

im a guy. heres why i like girls with long hair. girls look cuter to me if they have long hair. hahaha and it also seems to us dudes that they are a little more patient(no offense to some)because it takes time to grow their hair out.
