  • do they still use tickets for rides in tokyo disneyland? the admission to the original disneyland just went up to $101 for a one day park hopper!!! i wonder if bringing back tickets for each ride might lower the admission price. if someone wants to ride space mtn. 20 times in a single visit they might think again if it costs them $3-$4 a ride. it might ease the long lines for rides without unlimited use, too.

  • wow it seems like all of the skyways closed

  • @Quintinlicious Because all of them DID. Disneyland California, Tokyo, and Walt Disney World were the only parks to have a Skyway. They all closed in the 90s.

  • Is that the music from the Matterhorn I hear in the station?

  • ahh ... another classic ride that suffed and surenderd to the hands of Pooh ...

  • Only that this version of Pooh is the only one worth riding.

  • When did it stop operating?

  • It's worth noting that the Oriental Land Company closed down their Skyway to make room for Pooh's Hunny Hunt.

  • Parkhopper is the maaaan! Can anyone dispel the rumor that the Skyway in Cali was shut down due to a daredevil trying to jump into a moving Teapot? Sounds too funny to be true.

  • No, it was shut down because a janitor was cleaning and the ride was accidently turned on and he ended up falling into a flowerbed and died at the hospital.

  • No it was shut down because kids we're smoking pot in it.

It shut down because some guy fell from it and died.

It shut down because the pylons were an eyesore and the attraction allowed you to see unsightly backstage areas.

While all of those are certainly reasons, they are all complete BS.

The ride shut down because Disney was too cheap to operate it, plain and simple. Whenever you're wondering why your favorite ride shut down for no reason and wasn't replaced by anything, follow the money.

  • No, it has been confirmed that it was shut down because people died because of it. The fact that they decided it wasn't worth the money is also a reason. They're not 'cheap'. If they were cheap, why would the parks still be running?

  • Not really. Disney denies that the closures had anything to do with accidents, recent or otherwise.

  • That accident happened in Florida.

  • if submarines came back skyway can come back

  • They came back because the structure and ride vehicles were never removed.

  • Awesome, thanks for sharing yor video.

  • Wow.. their skyway was glassed in? interesting

  • have you posted any more rides on youtube?

  • Besides this one? Yeah, lots.

  • Yeah, just click on ParkHopper's name and go to the videos. There's tons of great ones. Thanks again ParkHopper!

  • i missed that.i hope someday skyway will be back...

  • Wow! that looks like fun! I miss the Disneyland (Anahiem, CA) version.

  • Unfortunately the closed this version of the ride a couple of months after I shot it.
