You can also see samurai code depicted in the Blade movies. The part where he picks up the plant and cuts the roots off roughly means , "Ive stayed rooted for too long, time to cut my roots and go onward"

As a special fx and compositing enthusiast/creater, I can honestly say that the "vampire disintegration" technique/style created by the fx team of the blade series has got to be finest I've ever seen. Buffy was cool, but the fx team working on Blade really set the standard for that type of effect.
