I've been playing electric guitar 9 years and classical for 1 1/2 years now. I've been learning some flamenco whilst learning classical and it's totally different to playing electric guitar. The right hand technique is completely different, there is no debating that and the left hand is pretty different to anything I'd learnt on electric.
