Had the hatchery been further away, it would have likely not been scouted and could have had an easier time taking out the defenses.

@DrQtonGaming that's why he did the inside hatch, certainly, but I don't see how building gateways and probes instead of cannons would be a problem for a player, so I don't see the argument working for the proxy hatch outside the base.

It takes time to get units out of gateways , and even then 1 stalker or zealot is weaker than a cannon.

Sentries could have sort-of been a problem, but considering hydras are fighting and not other units, they wouldn't have been a problem at all.
