Best for those moles to be removed surgically but in that position a keloid or hypertrophic scar could develop and be alot worse. Need to consult a good doctor / plastic surgeon to weigh up the risk vs benefits
@986selenagomez all laser treatments need to ensure patients are wearing eye googles or in some cases eye shields ( under the eyelids ) should the lesion be close to the eye.
@CosmedicsSkinClinics But the patient in this video was not wearing any kind of eye protection. Is it still a problem if your eyes are closed? I have a small flat mole right under my eye maybe 5mm away. So I can't wear goggles and I have a phobia of contact lenses. What should I do?
Are the tiny scars left, permanent? I have moles all over my face and would really prefer for scars not to be in place. I want to know what it is to have skin that is smooth and clear.
@OhByGolly1 Yes they can be as all surgeries or laser can leave a scar. As long as the doctor explains the risk and is an expert you would hope they would only offer a treatment with a high rate of success / satisfaction and a cosmetic improvement
@KneXVeNoM Easy to remove but depends on the doctor so choose carefully. It is NOT painful as it is completely numbed by tiny injection. We numb the skin before with cream that we use on children so you really dont feel a thing from start to finish.
Mole removal on the lip can be slightly tricky so best to see a doctor who does alot of these procedures as it is very much the skill of the doctor that creates the best result and minimal scarring.
The area is numbed first with tiny injection after that there is NO pain at all. It really is pretty straight forward and quick.
Costs depend on the mole removal procedure. At our clinics it starts from £250 for first mole and £160 for additional moles. Testing is £80 for first mole and £20 for additional moles.
The anaesthetic is given by a tiny needle.( the same size as used in acupuncture so really thin and not painful) We can always use some numbing cream for 20 minutes before that will help diminish this slight discomfort but this is not normally needed. It only takes a few seconds to give and just numbes the mole itself and then you would not feel a thing. The anaesthetic lasts for 3 hours and afterwards it would feel like a small graze for a day or so then there would be no discomfort at all.
Ok, I got a mole on my cheek it never changes and ive had it since i was born that i know of. Also, im a needle phobe, so one question .... Is the anestetic given by guaze pad or needle?
supposing someone has a beauty spot -not a mole which is flat is there a way that can be removed ..if so i would really like to know.please help needed
Beauty spots are a type of mole. The only way to remove these as they are often deeply pigmented / colored is by surgical excision and not the above procedure. A surgical excision would simply cut the mole out completely and would require a few small stitches. Often if these are small moles we 'punch' them out which only leaves a tiny scar at it literally only takes the mole out itself.
No the procedure is pain free. The patient is given a small injection via tiny needle that is just under the mole to numb the area of the mole itsself and no other areas after which no pain is felt .It really does not hurt at all and patient always comment how quick and painless it is.
The wound needs to heal first for which we advice to use vaseline for the first 1-2 weeks or use small skin colored dressing so it is not very noticeable.
Make up or concealer can be used after the wound has healed from about 10 days. Aftercare is important and we often advise patients to massage and moisturise the wound 2-3 times a day for the first 3 months to help reduce scarring
No there is not much bleeding as the anaesthetic given helps to stop any bleeding during the procedure and the wound is sealed over to stop any bleeding. Often a small dressing can be put on top for a day or so just in case.
The machine used in this video is not a laser. It is a hyfrecator. It uses electrical energy to generate heat to burn off skin lesions. Radifrequency machines also generate heat but produce less burning to surrounding tissues and therefore a less likely to cause scarring. A CO2 laser vapourises tissues by vapourising water in tissues. I disagree with the statement that these machines all work in a similar manner. The fact is that a hyfrecator like the one used here is much cheaper to buy than
No. We use some local anaesthetic to numb the area. Honestly patients say they dont feel a thing. It feels like a graze for a day or so after then just heals over the next week or ten days
No this method is mainly used for moles that are raised from the skin. Flat moles are normally left as the scarring can be worse or occasionally excised and sent for testing
All mole removal methods leave a scar but this is normally cosmetically far better than the mole itself. We only undertake mole removal if we feel there is a cosmetic benefit unless we feel it is suspicious.
@CosmedicsSkinClinics Thanks a lot for the information but let me ask you another question if you dont mind, what is the difference between laser treatment and Radio treatment. u know wat i mean? bcz i dont have much information about that.
@TheCeline84 They all work in a similar fashion by using heat to cut through the skin or to burn it off. All methods are comparable and the experience of the doctor is the most important thing
Keloids are very difficult to treat. Most commonly we use steroid injections to help flatten them. Not sure if lasers can help this sigificantly and can in some cases make them worse
No local anaesthetic enables the procedures to be completely pain free and is only a small scratch of a tiny injection. Patients always say how quick and pain free the whole process is.
Cost for mole removal on the face are £250 and £80 for testing of the mole should the doctor feel that is necessary. Call for more information on 0207 3860464. All our treatments are by doctors in medical clinics with full registration and accreditation.
The cost of mole removal on the face is £220 for a simple shave + /- laser removal or £320 if it needed a full excision. The type of procedure used depends on the size shape and color of the mole. As a rough guide moles that stick out our protrude can be easily shaved off and lasered with no stitches. Flat darker moles or suspicious moles need to be removed by excision and stitches used that are removed or dissolve after a week.
