  • you can definitely get away with using a cheap blender, you don't need a vitamix. i use a total piece of shit blender that i have had for years, just takes longer cos i have to chop up the kale and celery a bit, and mine is not as smooth as Joe's looks, but it is drinkable and tastes pretty good considering what's in it

  • Oh and don't forget some ice! Otherwise it will be room temp to warm after blending.

  • I add an orange and some filtered water to my kale shakes. I don't like when they're too thick.

  • Hey can anybody advise me....is it better to buy loads of different vitamin tablets and fish oil tablets....or is it better to buy a multi vitamin tablet which includes all the vitamins and fish oils etc.

    I'm confused,why would joe rogan not just have a multi vitamin instead of buying all those vitamins and fish oils etc.

  • @skittleszy For example, instead of 10 Fish Oil pills a day, I try to make it a habit of adding Hemp Seed Oil to salads and other things. Maybe a TSP or 2. For me it's much easier, tastes better, it's fresh, and is just as healthy if not better for you than Fish Oil. I could see someone finding it easier to just do pills. Both work IMO.

  • @skittleszy There is really no one-size fits all approach. Everyone is different, their habits, tendencies, bodies. I personally prefer to attempt to get all my nutrients through a well balanced diet, "super foods"(Wheat-grass Shots), healthy oils in food prep(Hemp Seed Oil, EVOO, Coc Oil), and an occasional multivitamin. I do this because it suits me. I think Joes approach is good as well, I just can't do the number of pills he does.

  • @HerpatitisC Maybe Redban would have brought it or one of the Podcast guests. Who knows, but Joe will be the first to admit he's not 100%. It takes work. I say he crushed that bucket after the right toke hit him. LOL.

  • I've been doing a similar smoothie with kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, broccoli, carrot, and apple. I also add in 12 ounces of water(makes the smoothie easier to down) and ice.I'm thinking of adding ginger. The Vitamix is a good investment.

  • The funny thing about all those vitamins is that the body can obtain most vitamins it needs from a balanced diet, it just depends on the kinds of foods your eating but quality foods means that you dont need to take any vitamins.

    But a lot of these pills have a placebo effect so if you think your super healthy you will feel better even though they may not be doing anything at all.

  • @CRUTGERBfilms You can. You will just need patience and some liquid to add, like a juice(orange,coc water, etc.) Will have to assist it by stirring too.

  • @CRUTGERBfilms I tried it. It makes it so much worse. Super hard to swallow. Just better off going with a juicer.

  • Thanks for the upload, I was doing this shake but it is good to see how Joe does it. I add about 500ml of V8 style juice to make it easier to drink...

  • @Murraymilburn1 Sure thing...That's a good idea with the V8...Really there are no rules, so whatever works right...Just use organic produce if you can....i mix in a few fresh cranberries and orange slices for taste...

  • @RockoYourSocksoff You're right, in most cases using a high sodium product like V8 wouldn't be a great idea because most of us get enough salt in our diets already. Maybe only for a person that has a low sodium diet, but there are much better alternatives for sure. Good point.
