Guy Fawkes wasn't a progressive by any means, but he was fighting back on behalf of an oppressed minority. It would have been interesting if he'd set the bomb off -- goodbye to most of the English ruling class -- and the reactionary Catholics wouldn't have been strong enough to take over. Who would have ended on top?
