  • @RoboFillet I completely agree with everything you said. Apparently, I'm one of the few people who have watched this video that do. I am straight and a Christian, and I believe that being gay and Christian is acceptable. Who are we to judge others based on their sexual orientation, let the Lord God Almighty do the judging. Love is love, and you cannot change that. Just like if you are a man and love a man, or a woman and love a woman, you can not change who you love. Amen to you @Robo Fillet!

  • u can refute all u want but if everyone should practice that wat would happen to the human race dogs, rats and so forth would take over, that is y i knw u pple r morally wrong becoze u make excuses for doing it wrng is wrng even if i am doing it is still wrong. it is like putting ur hands and sex organs in a cess tank, that is so in-hygienic, beside ur sphincter muscle will sooner than later b useless, yes i knw there other agents that damage ur systems....PEACE...

  • FOLLY GOD SAVE PPLE FR THEIR SIN NOT IN THEIR SIN WE LOVE GAY PPLE BUT WE HATE THEIR PRACTICE ROMANS 1:24-32

  • "...ROMANS 1:24-32"

If the participants Paul mentions in this passage had been engaged in heterosexual acts and UNmarried, would their actions have been less "vile?" Would the recording of the incident have been exploited to condemn all heterosexual relationships, even husbands and wives? It simply reflects the all too tragic double standard many hold of the different orientations.

  • This is great! Good on ya dude!!!

What I don't get is the fact that assholes out there click on " gay Christian network" and are so disappointed and disgusted with this! I mean WTF? What the hell did you expect? Someone giving a documentary on burgers? The world can live without your stupid comments!!!!

  • Oh Rohan. You are one of only a handful of channels I subscribe to because I love your videos (and you're just so damn cute). But as a mincing queen myself, I just cannot agree with you here. The two worlds don't appear to be reconcilable. Still, it's an honourable initiative. There are certainly worse religious groups out there =p

  • I can't believe some of the horrible things I'm reading in these comments! This is why I don't identify as a Christian anymore. I really hope that these hateful comments are not coming from Nerdfighters.

Rohan, I think the GCN sounds like a fantastic organization, and I'm so glad they exist. I hope your video helps to spread the word about the GCN and do some great work in the lives of gay Christians.

  • why the fuck would u associate ur self with christianity , go to india or someshit u cock worshippers...where is the gas chambers when u need them, ya take advantage of kindness u soft bitches, not even worthy to be women. fkn pigs.

  • I've never followed Christianity; my family didn't really have a faith, just good morals, don't kill people, don't be too gross in your sexual deviations. I have never experienced community pressure to conform. Do you find some people are hesitant to join the Gay Christian Network because of these pressures? I really don't mind gay people and I don't understand why there is so much fuss over this in the Christian community. Maybe its just me or some people are taking tradition too far. Love <3

  • Homosexuality is a sin, the temptation of homosexuality is not a sin..I'm not a Christian but I take interest in theology and I know that to be true. You have to choose between the gay lifestyle and the Christian one. That's not to say gays can't be good people, but there will not be admittance into heaven if you chose homosexuality over holiness.

  • I like this, and I would love to go back to church. I miss the singing and celebration with the people you love, but I was given a choice its either gay or god you can't have both u must decide, so sad :(

  • Good on you if you are lgbt. That's cool...I'm like so many others are confused at how an lgbt can be religious. People pick and choose parts of the bible based on what is convenient to them. How can you believe in some parts of a religion and not others?

  • I agree fully with with people being different and being in same sex relationships - its not a crime to love someone and be atracted to someone of the same sex - what is a problem is the dress sense by women and some men - stop useing your bodies to attract attention! - if you dont want to be called a fag or a slut - dont dress like one or act like one - respect your selves and in return you will be respected back! - love your self, love others and allow god to love you !!! 3

  • This is so wrong... homosexuals can't be Christians it goes against the bible, it's unnatural and to the people who think that they can still be accepted into the kingdom of God but choose to do the very thing the Lord has forbidden is either stupid, desperate, or ignorant. It just doesn't make sense, if you have read the bible.

  • @DanaLovesComedy If you have EVER eaten shrimp or lobster, you are an abomination unto the lord, according to your own literal "reasoning." You point a finger at others, while all your other fingers point back at yourself. Don't speak of splinters in the eyes of others while you have a log in your own. Let God be the judge of His children; you've got enough to deal with justifying your delusions of grandeur thinking you know the Mind of God amidst your own abominable hypocrisies

  • @dafttool You're not making sense, and I hate shrimp and lobster... And i'm not being God either. And I don't remember pointing any fingers at myself, i'm not pointing fingers at anyone either, I accept that there are homosexuals in the world and I don't understand what that has to do with splinters. But as an individual with my own opinion and beliefs I find it quite hard to believe how homosexuals has found a way to think that they are doing the right thing for Christ. And it is unnatural.

  • @DanaLovesComedy If you hate shrimp & lobster, then at sometime you must've eaten them to know you hate them. According to your own narrow interpretation of the Bible, you've committed an abomination. Ever worn 2 types of cloth? Again, you're an abomination. Much of the Bible is outdated, like slavery. --Jesus never said a word about gays, though he did bless the gay centorium (Google it). His message is to love one another & not judge others. Gays are natural & worthy of Christ

  • @dafttool How is eating seafood an abomination? And the whole bible really is outdated, history is outdated yet we still listen to it and learn from the past. And you shouldn't really trust google with anything really. Also I "don't" hate homosexuals and I don't judge them because who am I to judge. But as I said before this is my "own" opinion. And please tell me how being gay is natural and worthy of Christ. It is not natural (my opinion) and Jesus yes loves everyone including homosexuals.

  • @DanaLovesComedy The Bible calls it an abomination right next to calling gays an abomination, & wearing 2 types of cloth to all sort of things that are perfectly acceptable today. People pick & choose their Biblical outrages scapegoating gays. Google provides you the sources to look at (as in Jesus & the gay centorium case: Matthew 8:5-13 & Luke 7:1-10) Being gay is as natural as being born left-handed, both making up 10% of the population, & exists throughout the animal kingdom

  • And you can't play the "I don't hate" & "I don't judge" cards when you turn right around & say "it is not natural (my opinion)" & are unworthy of Christ. You ARE judging. You reject facts (such as being gay is natural, existing throughout the animal kingdom--btw, my degree is in zoology), fearing Google will direct you to what don't want to hear so that you can maintain your unfounded prejudices. Did you choose to be straight? I was born gay & knew it before I knew the word for it

  • @dafttool Frankly i'm getting tired of this conversation, you're going to keep saying that being gay and christian is acceptable and I am going to keep opposing that. I still don't think you've really proven that being gay is natural also, I already know that there are a lot of gays in the world but that doesn't make it natural, and it's centurian not centorium, how in the world did you get the idea that the centurian in those versus was gay....

  • @DanaLovesComedy Too bad if you're tired of it, you keep responding, though you most definitely aren't listening or learning anything. The centUriOn refers to his ill pais servant needing to be blessed, pais means "same sex lover." And the very fact that homosexuality has existed throughout recorded history in consistent percentages & throughout the animal kingdom in consistent percentages MEANS it is naturally occurring. And you're NOBODY to judge who's worthy of God or Heaven.

  • @dafttool Just because i'm tired of it doesn't mean i'm going to stop responding. And just because there are a lot of gay people out there and just because there have been gay people around for a long time doesn't mean that it's natural. I don't fear google, I just don't completely trust everything on the internet. And the word pais has a range of meanings, yes it can mean same sex lover but the word can also be used to refer to an infant, or a boy, or a girl or a "servant" and others.

  • No homosexual is Saved. No homosexual enters into Kingdom of God.

  • Thanks Robo, for answering my question about the celibacy issue, I completly agree with your opinon, no shame in what ever decision any christan LGBT makes

    :D

  • fuck religion.. waste of time.. i believe in doing good things because i know it's right, not because jesus tells me it is right. i also believe in common sense and rational thinking.

  • This video didn't show up in my sub-box, and I'm sad about that.

  • Kids are committing suicide because they feel unaccepted by their parents, their peers, their church, themselves, by God, by everyone. No one deserves to be in that low state, especially not a child. Telling people God doesn't love people who are different is actually playing the role of God yourself. For God so loved the world, not his followers, not good people, not the nice people, not all but the gays, but the world, the sinful world. Even if we don't love Him back, He loves us all.

  • Thanks so much for your support!

In a time when gay teen suicide continues to be a major issue in many countries and where gay people in some parts of the world face violence or death at the hands of Christians, GCN remains committed to building a more welcoming church and creating safe spaces for people to get the support they need.

We believe everyone should be free to live out their faith and conscience without fear of harassment or discrimination, and we are fighting to make that happen.

  • Just read about Sodom and Gomorrah in the bible. God destroyed them because of their inequities

  • Read it again. S & G were supposedly destroyed because of their inhospitality to strangers, yet you, like many, use the story to scapegoat gays. The townspeople was a mob trying to violently attack strangers ("angels in disguise"). Lot offered up his daughters to be raped by the mob (Does that sound gay to you?) rather than have them harm his guests (a great offense in Arab cultures). Biblical historians say the two cities were rife w/corruption & all sorts of ungodly, pagan practices

  • As for people who believe that you're "born" straight or gay.... Would God create humans who were "bred" to sin? No. We made our own choice long ago, starting with an apple.

  • @fiyerofangirl u know that the bible never mentions the word 'apple' right? but you believe it does. do you think a lot of your opinions might be based on 2nd hand information?

  • How ironic that you say all mankind is born of sin some 10,000 yrs ago, yet deny a person can be born gay. I was born gay. I knew I was gay before I knew the word for it, before I even knew what sex was (gay or straight). I reject your idea that an innocent infant is born of sin & I reject your idea that being gay (by birth or choice) is a sin, just as I reject the Bible's support of slavery. Don't confuse the spirit of God's Love with the invented dogma's man has attached to it.

  • We have a duty as Christians to love everyone.... but also to spur each other on to good deeds. The Bible clearly says that homosexuality is a sin. We can't tell people who don't believe in the living God that they're not doing the right thing, because Jesus doesn't rule their lives--they do. As for our brothers and sisters in Christ, though, the Bible says that we have an obligation to keep each other from sinning!

  • @fiyerofangirl Almost in the same breath that the Bible condemns homosexuality, it condemns most seafood other than fish. Where's your protest against Red Lobster? The Bible also supports slavery. Yet I guarantee you have no problem throwing that outdated tidbit under the bus of modernity. The ban of homosexuality in the Bible is as wrong as its support of slavery. To deny that is a sin not of God, but of humanity. Just as women being man's co-equal partners, & not their property

  • Its like evangelising to civilisations that practice polygamy. Who are we to say that's not the way to live, because then you've got one saved husband, one saved wife, and several divorcees who in those civilisations may then be outcast because they've been divorced. Jesus is about love, not discrimination. We're called to make disciples out of people and lead them to christ, but we can do that in letting them then come to their own decisions about marriage/sexuality :)

  • Oh, wow. This doesn't sound like a nice charity at all.

  • @khoraski You're right that this is a niche organisation but there is no need for name-calling. There are many ways to make the world better, and helping LGBT Christians to feel less isolated is one of them. One of my favourite things about the Project for Awesome is that it highlights the myriad of organisations and people doing good work in every different way, so while yes, the GCN is different to, say, World Vision (who I supported last year) I will not apologise for highlighting their work.

  • @RoboFillet I'd rather actually bring people out of poverty and give them homes rather than making a few depressed people feel good about themselves.

  • Comment removed

  • @khoraski Still no need for your ridiculous nature. Calling someone an ass certainly doesn't help anyone, in theory you've done worse than the wrong you've accused. Get your shit together and do something to help people instead of attacking a well-meaning and important charity. You've missed the whole point of the project for awesome, it's about doing as much good as you can. It's not a fucking competition.

  • @khoraski I'm sorry, but you have the gall to take the time to comment on a video for the Project For Awesome telling someone who is trying to spread the message of hope and love for all people that HE is a selfish ass? We are ALL trying to help people, that is what this community and this project is about, but not everyone can give money. However, everyone can give support and love, something this video is trying to communicate and which you clearly failed to understand.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 You clearly don't understand that life is more important that just feeling good about yourself.

  • @khoraski Correct, life is about loving others. That can be through helping people who do not have clean water or by supporting music programs in underfunded schools or by helping people to feel that their lives are worth living. Everyone has needs and the Project For Awesome is not about excluding the needs of anyone in favor of others, it is about loving everyone in any way we can.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 I agree, but I still think this is mocking.

  • @khoraski I can assure you that this is an extremely important charity. A open, loving dialogue between and about gay Christians is something that is severely lacking currently. This is a charity that is doing real good in the world. The Project For Awesome is not a battle between causes to find the most worthy, it is a celebration of all the different ways we can decrease world suck.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 Why do you keep on talking about "love" and stuff, this isn't a hippie organization.

What branch of Christianity is progay? People keep on saying "Christian" this and "Christian" that, but nobody will actually say what religion it is. Christianity isn't a religion, it's the name for a large varieties of religions.

  • @khoraski If you think that loving people is only for hippies, you are sorely mistaken. As a Christian, I believe that we have been called to love, help, provide for the needs of (whatever term you prefer) others because God loves us.

If you want to discuss what Christianity is, this is probably not the best place for it, but the feelings of Christians on homosexuality spans the entire spectrum.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 I never said loving people his for hippies, what the heck?

Again, you do not even KNOW what Christianity is. Christianity is NOT a religion, it's a group of religions. Religions are like Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, etc.

And now, the feelings don't span the entire spectrum. It's like saying an "athiest baptist." It makes no sense. Being a Baptist lays a foundation of beliefs, and one of them is believing in God.

    Most branches are anti-gay.

So again, which branch is progay?

  • @khoraski Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, etc. are not religions. They are denominations of Christianity. They share the core belief that God came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ and sacrificed himself to redeem humans from our sins. Christians are those people who believe in Jesus and choose to follow his teachings as found in the Bible. Christians interpret the teachings of the Bible individually and thus have different views on issues such as homosexuality.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 Each branch is an interpretation.

So again, why are you avoiding my question? Which branch is pro-gay?

    It's not a complicated question.

  • @khoraski You know, I don't know what the official stance of any particular denomination is, nor do I care. What I find far more important are the actions of individuals.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 That leads to a problem, because it makes it so all of you are left to your own interpretations, and none of you are actually really following the same religion.

And it just confuses me, because like I can swear the Christian Bible speaks against gays. So why is it you'd be Christian AND gay? Shouldn't you choose a religion that supports it?

  • @khoraski The way I see it, the only thing that really matters in Christianity is Jesus. I follow him the best way that I can and others follow him the best way that they can. We disagree on some points, but that doesn't mean we're not all acting out of a desire to glorify our God.

And some people may choose a religion because it supports what they want to do, but as for me, I follow Christianity because I believe it to be true.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 I agree with most parts, until you said "I follow Christianity because I believe it to be true" and that's where I'm confused again, because you've claimed to no denomination, but apparently your own. So your doctrine isn't taken directly from the Bible, it's shaped to fit your own likings.

And let's not go back to slavery, the last time people started doing this to the Bible.

  • @khoraski I go to a Presbyterian church, if that's a "claim" to a denomination. I do not accept without question what I am told about the character of God, but instead listen to discussion on the Bible and its teaching and various interpretations and discuss with my fellow believers. However, this issue is not about my own beliefs. I am not here to defend my faith, I only want to support what I believe to be a worthy charity that Rohan has chosen.

  • @AwkwardNinja9 So you don't believe what the Bible says, but what other people say the Bible says?

Again, this is how slavery kept up for so long! People all listened to the stupid preachers that were preaching shit instead of actually reading the Bible themselves!

  • @khoraski I absolutely believe the Bible. I guess I forgot to add that into what I mentioned before. My mistake. For the record, in my previous comment, we're all reading and consulting the Bible, then discussing our thoughts, again referring to the Bible to inform the discussion. Well, this has been an extremely interesting conversation, khoraski, but I have to go now. Best wishes!

  • @AwkwardNinja9 Not to be rude or anything, but please interpret this for me in a way that supports homosexuality:

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was fitting."

  • @khoraski Hi, I have to ask you a question and I truly mean this in a friendly way: Don't you think that both the depressed and the sick are worth helping? Both groups need help and both groups are at risk of death. Discounting people who are stressed, depressed, and feeling like outcasts is not right. I am more conservative on my views of homosexuality but still think Christians should actively outreach and love society's "outcasts".

  • @khoraski Thanks for speaking out. You voiced my exact same opinions on the matter.

  • @khoraski Jesus said to love one another, and that love can be expressed in many different ways and that demonstrates who God is, all inclusive. Saving lives, looks like providing safe drinking water and providing clothing, but it can also look like listening to another leaving them with the love that you provide for the world. Nothing is wrong. If we all took on love as a self-expression in our own community that may inspire another community to love their own, fulfilling what Jesus commands.

  • @stagetech101 Yes he said to love one another. He said to love your enemies, love the murders, rapist, etc...

But the Bible clearly states gays to be unnatural, meaning it's a choice, and that he does not bless this kind of marriage, because it's now how he created us.

The Bible says to love everyone, yes, including gays. But I still don't understand why you'd want to be part of a religion that believes homosexuality to be wrong, if you are a homosexual yourself.

  • @khoraski You are a liar. All homosexuals are damned to Hell.

  • Comment removed

  • @khoraski I'm not sure if you know me - but my work focuses on the very issues you talk about. And let me tell you, this video that Rohan made is one of my favorites of this year. It touches upon a very important issue. If Rohan's video and his support of the GCN stops even just 1 suicide of an LGBT youth trying to balance sexuality and faith - this video will be worth it. Make no mistake - orgs like the GCN save children's LIVES.

  • This is a really tough topic to cover, and I think you did an excellent job of presenting it in the video and just as good, if not better in replying to comments! Well done, it's obvious you remembered to be awesome ;) DFTBA!

  • I love this video. As a Christian this is always a touchy topic. I'm going to look into this further. Also I'm subscribing because I wanna see what kinda good stuff shows up in my sub box from you. DFTBA

  • wrong in so many ways

  • DFTBA!

  • Sorry, suggesting celibacy is someone's best course of action isn't fair.

  • @TicTacKitCat That isn't what I suggested. I merely said that the GCN supports both LGBT people who choose to be celibate and LGBT people who have sex within marriage. I said the GCN provides a platform for both groups to have a more productive discussion about this issue. This is something they go over on their website very thoroughly.

  • I don't understand the celibacy thing. The network is against same sex physical relationships?

  • @sandwichperson No, they support people whether they decide to stay celibate or not. Some LGBT Christians choose to stay celibate and some have sex within marriage. The GCN supports both groups of people and helps them work together, rather than fighting with each other.

  • Dialogue between the two sides is brilliant and you're right, this is just a first step. But the way you slipped in celibacy kind of shocked me a bit. It was a very quick mention but I'm interested to know a bit more on your thoughts about this? Why should celibacy be a factor in the lives of LGBT Christians when it is not expected of their heterosexual counterparts?

  • @GiveemhellShell I don't personally believe that LGBT Christians need to be celibate, but there are LGBT Christians who choose to be because they are compelled by their consciences. I don't think LGBT Christians who choose to be celibate should be shamed for deciding that is the best way for them to live, so I'll support them in that. The GCN supports both sides of that debate, which is something they go through on their website at length.

  • People say that it's a good "middle ground". Not to me, it sounds more like extremism hidden as a "first step", well, this first step has already happen a while ago. Enforcing celibacy encourages misconceptions and is more like 3 steps back if you ask me.

  • @thisistashas The GCN does not enforce celibacy. Many GCN members have sex because they are in committed same-sex relationships, while others choose to be celibate. The GCN supports both groups in their choice and provides a space for these two groups to work with each other rather than fighting amongst themselves.

  • @thisistashas I think you've misunderstood what we do. I'm Justin, the founder and executive director of GCN, and I fully support committed relationships. (I'm single, but I hope to find a boyfriend someday and get married!)

The point of GCN is that we welcome and support people who disagree on these issues. If someone has a different view from mine, I'm still going to love and support them in living according to their beliefs. If they want to know what I believe, I'll tell them.

  • @hexachordal I completely agree.

  • DFTBA

  • Hold on a second... "The GCN provides a platform [...] for people who believe that LGBT Christians should stay celibate". I listened to that line several times to make sure I heard it right, and I can't believe you're saying it with a straight face. Why are you asking us to support these people?

  • @hexachordal Because both sides are represented, and it encourages important dialogue? All that happens when people don't talk is that the opposites get even more extreme, and LGBT people caught up in the wrong side (ie the side that tells them that any act of honest love they could take part in would be inherently sinful) feel even more isolated. There are other charities that campaign for specific sides of the debate, but this is important too. The GCN encourages the necessary first step.

  • @hexachordal I had to check the comments to make sure I wasn't crazy or had misheard.

  • @SixIfYouCountTheLion You heard right.

  • @hexachordal I didn't notice this the first time I watched this video, which made me made. But then watching a second time actively searching for that particular line, I still didn't catch it. It's just well hidden I guess.

  • @hexachordal I completely agree.

  • @hexachordal ur misquoting man.. provides a platform for people who believe in gay relationships and ones that dont.. to discuss it with each other. to me this is perfect. absolutely no opinion should be forbidden and the best way to ever try and make people see your point of view is to discuss it. if there was ever a best way to change a culture of celibacy then this is it. discussion. opinions arent disgusting because people think theyre doing the right thing. they are only sometimes misguided

  • @hexachordal I think what they mean to achieve is to provide a discussion platform between the two groups (pro and anti sex). I don't think it's at all that bad. Both sides will learn to respect each other's beliefs instead of just plain hating each other.

  • @jbdazen Yes, this is what I said.

  • @hexachordal That ellipsis has scrubbed out an important part of what I said. There are some LGBT Christians part of the GCN who stay celibate for moral reasons, but others believe sex is fine for same-sex couples part of a long-term, committed relationship (ie, marriage). The GCN supports people who hold both views so that they can work together to find common ground. I encourage you to listen to the Campolos, who I've linked to in the decender. Tony and Peggy do a great job of explaining this.

  • @robotfillet @hexachordal My roommate is actually good friends with Justin Lee of GCN. And from what I've gathered, "Side B" (God calls gays to a life of celibacy) is basically a stepping stone for gay Christians who have experienced anti-gay ministries. This is where gays, often along with their families, are convinced that if they try and pray hard enough they can make themselves straight. (cont'd)

  • @robotfillet @hexachordal 2/3 It really is quite a long jump from "everything about myself is a sin" to "I love God, he loves me, I'm attracted to the same sex, and everything is fine with that!" so "Side B" is a comfortable stance taken by most gay Christians just coming to terms with who they are. It gives them a sense of control over themselves after they have been convinced them that they failed to "turn themselves straight". (cont'd)

  • @robotfillet @hexachordal 3/3 And all of them eventually transition through it to "Side A", which is the belief that God blesses same-sex marriages.

I voted for GCN ~6 times before I clicked though to see the vid... and hey, it's yours! I wish I'd been able to link my friend up with this group when we were teens. He was both truly Christian and truly gay and didn't feel belonging in either community. He's still gay but marrying a woman from church. They think hetero attraction can be learned.

  • Having been someone who has been following you for 2 years now, I'm so happy that the Vlogbrothers themselves are advertising you. :D

  • I remember a long ago video of yours that caused some heat on this issue of Christianity & LGBT.. It seems you've refined your views since then, of which I'm thankful. But alas, the celibacy requirement is a bit onerous & hypocritical, since you don't see the straight community put through such paces. They're told sex it's ok within the confines of marriage, all the while denying gays to marry, thus forbidding them from expressing their own sexuality. Catch 22. But a dialogue is a good beginning

  • @dafttool The GCN doesn't believe that all LGBT Christians must stay celibate. What I was saying was that some LGBT Christians who are part of GCN believe they should stay celibate for moral reasons and others think sex within the confines of marriage (or a marriage-like relationship - it doesn't have to be state-sanctioned) is fine for same-sex couples. The GCN supports both groups of people, helping them to find common ground.

  • @RoboFillet I gathered that. I was just stating which side of the debate I was on, the one that addresses both the reality & humanity of LGBT. What is important is that a dialogue is taking place, instead of the usually prevalent out-of-hand condemnation various Christian denomination castigate AND alienate LGBT. This is really two debates: one on homosexuality & a much larger one (but less obvious one) on adultery (something that goes on regardless of one's sexuality). Too often...

  • @dafttool cont. ...Christians have literally pushed LGBT from the fold. Any attempt to bring them back is welcome, just as long is as it is not couched in the same condemning framework that drove them away in the first place. Too often people have sexual hangups they hide behind Christianity to justify. Yet another debate. At any rate, what's most important is that God's Love is not lost in the message, in encouraging one's spiritual development, to see the forest instead of the trees.

  • Absolutely love this. Thanks for being a voice on this issue!

  • We hear you!

  • brilliant brilliant brilliant!! It's frustrating being involved in a community (the church globally) who many people see as not accepting of same-sex couples, whereas (in my experience), churches I've been at celebrate same-sex couples for the love they share. Unfortunately the noisy voice often gets the attention, so I'm stoked that you're promoting an organisation which says "no actually, the christian church and the LGBT community can co-exist quite happily thank you". Really great stuff!

  • I believe that lgbt issues are a perfect example of how the church and many religeous beleifs to be simply outdated and ignorant.

I think that instead of a charity that is trying to support lgbt people in the church there should be more done to help lgbt people at a worldwide level.

  • @xXH3ll5xB3llXx I don't feel that religion is something made of stone, rather something that grows and changes and that we're supposed to grow with and be a part of, not blindly following it. I also think that a charity for both causes is better than just one charity for one cause.
