i am considering buying one. now iv had kimbers, springfields, smith and wessons, and others. all of which are high dollar. im concerned of the low cost. in guns the saying of you get what you pay for applies. very few weapons that had a low cost has surprised me but very few. is the pt1911 reliable. i can see its accurate but i will use it for a truck gun so i need it to be 100% or as close as possible. any ftf or jams of any kind.

I have a Taurus PT1911BH... It's an older one and I put about 3000 rounds through it so far. It is incredibly accurate and I use it for IPSC. I shoot tighter groups faster then that. You just have to get used to your weapon... He obviously shoots .45ACP a lot. (@MrAzcavowabo)Take your BS flag and shove it up your ass shaft shiner.

Terrible 1911 as far as 1911's go. Not terrible for the price.. Would definitely buy a Mil Spec GI45 before this. Doesn't have the dovetail like the PT1911.. but wont crap out on you. I say this as a 1911 fan, owner of this and several other 1911's. Nice shot group though.

any gun goes boom but i guarantee springfields bread and butter 1911 is better then what taurus gives you... the "illusion" that you have a high quality 1911...

good gun has features of high end models but not same craftsmanship / High Mil spec Tolerances . But I would still buy one it is in no way a bad gun. But I would not compare it to a Kimber . Maybe a para or S&W 1911. having a awesome working gun like a kimber is nice but to craftsmanship on top of that makes it worth every penny too me except maybe when you get above 1200. 1800 because of some camo or some letters saying anniversary on it is just silly. CDP Pro is as far as I would go

@MrAzcabowabo Agreed, those holes were not made by a . 45 Those are 1 inch squares, and a .45 is almost half an inch diameter. those holes are far too small for a .45 cal. I also seriously doubt the accuracy claimed given what is shown. I've seen experts do 3inch groups at that distance with a 9mm and firing slowly. Usually there will be a couple in the bull's-eye also Not a nice neat radially arranged group.

And the show Top Shot is for people who excell in various weapon types and usually have years of practice with them. If you cant get groups like that at 25ft with your weapon of choice you need to spend more time at the range.
