maybe, because if I want to experience realism I drive either 1 1/2 hour north or 1 1/2 east, either to the Nürburg- or the Hockenheimring. I'm not seing the point in buying a Fanatec ONLY because of Forza when I already own another wheel. If you don't own a wheel buying a Fanatec wheel is the better option, no doubt. cheers.
it only supports rumble, its "just" a gamepad emulator.I gave it a try, whoever doesnt want to buy it doesnt has to.In some cars I'm faster using the gamepad, in others if I use the G25. And if you use a wireless headset you can also talk to your buddies, the only disatvantge in system controlling is the lack of camera control for taking pictures.everything else you can do, xbox button is working,so does the right thumb stick to cycle damage&tyre temps.you dont have a PS Button on the G25 in GT5!
I am a huge GT5 fan but...traded it in a month ago. Forza 4 is better (and I hated Forza 3). Was heavily rooting for GT5. No Damage, bad menus, bad replays, horrible sound, minimal cockpit shake...oh and almost zero damage! How long to install and update as well. Forza 4 works perfectly and thought of everything. Even online stuff is Amazing!
Can u just turn the Force Feedback down? Don't think I can on Forza 4. It is better I heard with 2.0. I have the original wired controller from 360 a week b4 it launched in 2005 with PGR3! (great game) It has the best sound and cockpit shake of any game ever! (yes I have a skim now) Sent my original 360 RedR back, they couldn't believe the serial number. This XCM is good for people who can't afford a Fanatec.
ok..well I'm not quite sure in which direction the wheel turns but let me tell you the "vibration" is useless with the wheel, everytime you shift it kicks around and its impossible to keep the car in line so I turned the vibration off. reall Force Feedback would be so awesome, but I dont think that will ever happen with the Logitech wheels -.-
@tobibeck80 I heard that logitech force feedback works great with Gran Turismo 5 because they programmed it the right way and most other games did not.
uhm Polyphony Digital had to release a patch (2.0, almost after ONE year) so the G25 and G27 was "properly" supported.....the G27 imediately got some new bugs with the patch, but I believe they fixed it....still you have to cheat in the clutch everytime a race starts by pressing triangle.....at least the clutch works properly compared to every other game I played yet (cant shift gears if you havent pressed the clutch)
And I dont like GT5 very much, mostly because of the sound
@tobibeck80 I agree with you. I'd rather have the g27 wheel because of looks and i've also had the first 900degree wheel logitech made and it was amazing. i've seen too many people complain about the Fanatec wheels and crap costumer support. I'm in the market for a sim wheel just not sure what to get.. I prefer forza 4 over gt5, also all my friends play forza 4. justnot sure whether to take a gamble and try the fanatec csr wheel or just grab a g27 and xcm converter...what do you think?
If you dont have a Logitech wheel at all you should directly go with the Fanatec imo because theres already full support for FM, you dont have to buy a wired controller nor the F1 converter. XCM is currently working on an addon gear for the F1, says "clutch, sensitivity and shifter --> xcm.cc
@tobibeck80 I would jump on the Fanatec if there weren't so many reported problems with the gt2.. and i'm afraid for the csr.. people are already complaining about the cloth coming apart.. feels super plastic and cheap.. after a few days there becomes a permanent deadzone on any game and any mode.. I just know the g27 has way less issues.. and I can put a real steering wheel on it :P
About the crashes, my question is that I saw some videos that when a crash occurs the wheel turn to right. Apears that only "right engine" works in this case.
And other and strange situation about the "turn to right", is when a paddle shift is pressed the wheel turn (I saw a video with this behavior)
I´m from Brazil and here, Fanatec Wheels are rare and very expensive (around U$ 1.500 - basic configuration), but G27 is very reasonable (G27+XCMF1+wired pad= around U$ 700).
hi and youre welcome.....its 90° left and 90° right, the same way the left stick on the gamepad goes.
that converter just emulates a gamepad, thats why there are some limitations, you cant adjust the angle of steering but you can adjust deadzones in Forza 4....and thats the only game I use the XCM for.
I'm not quite sure if I understood the question about the wheel turning when you have a crash, but I turned the vibration off in-game because its very annoying.
Hi! Thank you by the videos about XCM F1 and G25! But I would like to know how much steering degrees works on Forza 4 (270º, 720º...) and if it is possible to adjust ?
One more thing, is it true that when you shifting or when a car crash occurs if wheel ever turn do right only ?
Very useful clip, One question is that does it support for 900 degree rotation of g25 or no there is no way to use that feature on xbox 360?
