Prez is so different here than he was in all the other seasons. He was humbled throughout this season because he made so many mistakes.

It just goes to show how incredible The Wire is - at this point, I hated Prez and assumed he would be the same bumbling idiot throughout the series, and yet by the end of the second season he was my absolute favourite character. Their writing and character development is unlike anything I've ever seen before - it's amazing! (And it's kinda funny how Prez dressed like a teacher, even here!)

Prez is the only cop in all 5 seasons to ever fire his gun. He does so three times, and every time it is a screw up.

prez actually didnt take the mag out. if he did, the slide would not lock back.

I love this show. I don't even remember half these guys. Like the guy who's like "Shin-yarity. heh heh." I forgot who he was. And they just say, like, "casualty section" or "trigger pull" and they never explain what these things are. You just have to run with it. You gotta focus.

@gauchebag no but I mean they might not realize what you're talking about because this is a clip from season 1, and some people might not have made it up to Season 3, ya know with people still catching up on the dvds and what not.. but yeah I love this show I feel like starting it all over again, it never gets old.

i think what i probably meant to say is that it didnt make sense for him to have a light trigger pull or even have a gun considering what he did to his car. the light trigger pull is probly the reason he killed the other officer in season 3

@Struckgold I loved his acting. The great thing about The Wire was that there was no obvious lackluster acting performance. Everything was solid and realistic.
