I am trying to get a Yamaha APX500 and install the 57' Gibson Classic Pick Up.

I don't really know how to install it, but with some pieces of wood and crazy glue I might do it. lol

Do you have any tips that you can help me out? because I don't really know what I will go through. Wish me luck!

Well that's the model which is what I thought you were asking for, if you meant what kind as in type, it's a thinline acoustic-electric guitar that's been modified with a Gibson humbucker pickup.

The pickup is screwed to two pieces of wood that is glued to the the bottom of the guitar.

thanks , i think i ll try the same on my yamaha , as i d like the sound of a humbucker . did you put a separate outlet on the guitar or a bi pass switch to the existing preamp ?? is feedback a problem at all? Happy picking!

The pickup is connected to the pre-amp on the guitar, it uses everything else from the guitar, no extra modification.
