  • Very good video! One correction: you said once you get a default/collection paid they will remove it from your report. It should be that they will update it (it doesn't automatically get deleted), it will still show a default, but with a zero balance.

  • The way he is explaining is not true, when you dispute you dispute is directly with the bureaus only. They try to verify with the creditor, if the creditor does not verify the debt or the account it needs to come off. That is the law. Once it is removed they can not report it back. Collections are 7 years from the date of last activity, so when you pay it off to 0 that's when the 7 years starts. It reports paid collection on your credit which is still not good.

  • @CREDITREPAIRMASTER what happens if your debt is 7 yrs old

  • @ThePlatinumChild It depends if its a collections account. Collection account report on your credit for 7 years from the date of last activity. So if you have a collections with $10k and you did not make any type of payments to them, when your reach the 7 year mark it needs to come off of your credit. Now lets say you had it for 6 years and you make a payment to the collection company even for 1 dollar, your 7 years starts from the day you sent in the payment. I hope I made it clear for you.
