I have two very old healthy Aloe Plants. I cut off a leaf and cut it open and use the juice on my face and hands. I do this a few times a week. It's great. Processed Aloe does not have the same healing properties as live fresh aloe. It's so easy to grow!

I'm just learning about the benefits of using the Aloe plant on my face skin to help fade aging spots. Today I was informed that the aloe plant must be at least 5 years old before it is fully able to its healing thing. Is this true or just her dealer's ploy? Hi, Lloyd, thanks so much for your continuing help with the very helpful info. you continue to 'feed' to me. Unfortunately I live in England and I'm on benefits. I had a liver biopsy in 2002/3 after being diagnosed with Hep.C. in 2000. I foolishly attempted the combo Peginterferon and Ribaviron (sp) tx shortly after in 2003. With NO support from my local Patient Care Trust. After 4 weeks of sleep deprivation I was told to stop immediately as I lost my sanity. To be continued.......

Except when it is used for scraps and cuts...for me Aloe Vera was not that impressive. Scientific research has yet to back the digestive property of Aloe Vera being better than any other digestive product out there. Due to a medical condition I have I search around for digestive aid products. Aloe Vera was no different than some of the cheaper products I have used.

Why not just use a fresh aloe vera plant? I bought my plant for $5 about five years ago and it's still growing strong. Nothing better than a fresh, ALIVE plant.

The stabilized aloe vera juice is the best. It is made not with the whole leaf but the mucilage taken from the pealed leaf. The rest of the leaf is used to feed the fields where it is grown. If you don't know where to get it, you can contact me.

On the other side, for those who want to do it themselves, once extracted in the contact of the air, aloe looses its nutrients very easily by oxidation. So be careful.

@Prancingwolf7 NO, aloe did not heal hepatitis. Aloe that has not been heated can provide your body will a lot of benifits you won't find in most other products. Many of the toxins created by HCV are eliminated by the lymph system. Aloe is one of the few items that can cleans your lymph system and help it function well.

Read chapter 23 in Triumph Over Hepatitis C, it is the longest chapter in TOHC and it is all about the wonderful things aloe can do for you!

Hello, Herbal aloe force has a special process that uses the whole plant, most of the good stuff is in the skin and the toxic Aloin is also in the skin and they take the aloin out with out heat which is the least expensive way. Heat destroys the important parts of the aloe plant. There is only one non-heated aloe juice for sale in the US and Herbal Aloe Force is it.

In addition, Aloe Master sells bottles of 90 Freeze dried whole leaf aloe capsules and each capsule contains 150 mgs of MPS. The price varies depending upon the qty purchased. I think it runs about $38 for 1 bottle but it drops to $28.50/ 4 bottles and $26.60/ 12 bottles. The advantage of the pills is that they weigh less. A case of 6 liters weighs about 14.5 lbs & what with the cost of gas & shipping, it becomes cost prohibitive, whereas 12 bottles of capsules weighs only 3 lbs.

All whole leaf aloe in the US is cooked, liquid, gell and capsules. When heating aloe over 90 degrees it shortens the polysaccride. These are long chain molecules and they work best when unheated. You are correct in stating that there are very few companies that manufacture a Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Product which contain high levels of Mucopolysaccarides. However, you have left out 2 companies. Aloemaster in Utah, and Aloe Complete in San Diego sell Aloe Vera by the Liter and each liter contains a minimum of 10,000 mgs of MPS. I know that Aloe Complete costs $12/liter when you buy a case of 6 liters.Aloe Master also sells capsules, each containing 150mgs of MPS.

You buy one plant, it grows more plants from the roots, take those pant them, and it grows MORE Aloe then get youre juce from the off shoots leves when they grow up. So if you have screwed youre new plant up look on craigslist and you may be able to get one for free and grow them the way just mentioned and you wont have a problem ;)

All whole leaf Aloe is "Pasteurized" except Herbal Aloe Force. Pasteurized means cooked.

When aloe is heated over 90º the polysaccharide molecule is shortened. This is the essence of aloe.

Cold processed refers to the mechanical pressing of the aloe plant to extract the juice. The term, "cold pressed" is misleading. Consumer thinks the product is raw.

There is a difference between raw aloe and pasteurized aloe. Big difference in processing, cost and effectiveness.

I have an excellent product of whole leaf aloe from GNC. what i enjoy about it, is that there no water added. but its cooked around 75 degrees under 90 degrees. Just want to know if thats ok? also wat degree is your product cooked at??
