THis game wasn't what I expected. I saw all of the trailers for it and I thought that it would have been an extremely good game. But all I found was a gome full of loading screens but a cool fight with solaris...and does anyone know how to get any of the hidden stages for all of the characters?

SA2 is Sonic Adventure 2, Also SEGA never said that the new game was gonna be Sonic only, Also Yuji Naka hinted at that the new game might be a retelling of the frist game, but that was early on.
Hah Pretty good graphics. Hey cmcc186, I agree with you 100%. Sonic has lasted this much because when he came out in '91, he shattered what was a boundary in videogames. He broke the roof by creative action stages (Who could forget The Starlight Zone?) great music, and just by his looks, (Blue spined dude, green-eyed).

The new games have alot of potental, but alot of them are just to hard to go "fast" Sonic Heros being the best example for horrible. This new game does look good, its about fucking time they made a sonic with some plot to it and made it darker. I also like the fact that the "swat bots" are in this one finally. This should clear things up. Was sonic better in 2D or 3D? And what was the best 2D sonic game and the best 3D sonic game? I personnally prefer the 3D games and my favorite sonic game is Sonic Adventures 2 (the ones on the deamcast).
However i personnally think that realism in Sonic just doesn't work, its not ment to be realistic (though Sonic glowing while he jumps is a bit much). I wouldn't be surprised if this game used rag dolls and a physics engine.
Also another thing that i've noticed is that they are using the same story line... again. Dr Eggman, again. Chaos emralds, again. In another trailer of this game you see a large lava-based creature which, to me, looks like a lava form of Chaos after he got all 7 emralds.

Sonic is being massacred! Scrap all these crappy characters! Sonic, Tails and Knuckles should be it with the main focus being on Sonic. Sonic Adventure nearly nailed it: less cutscenes, getting rid of BIG, e102 and amy and making tails fly in levels instead of that crappy robot thing. Gotta get the feel of the 2D games (Sonic 3 & Knuckles being my fav Sonic and one of my all time fav games) into 3D then we'll have Sonic back. Sonic Rush was v good except for Blaze. No need for her!
Sorry, but Sega can't please every Sonic fan out there. YOU might want a Sonic back to his roots game in 3D with only Sonic, Knuckles and Tails as the main characters but there are other fans out there who wants to play as new characters then just those three. That's why Sega add new characters and new ideas to keep the series fresh. If they do the same old thing every game then the series will get boring fast.
The reason Sonic is popular is the likes of Sonic 1 and 2 on the Mega Drive, not Sonic Hereos or even the Sonic Adventures on DC. I reckon if Sonic had just been introduced in the current state it would have made a great game or 2 but not the lasting appeal the character has had for 15 years now. These extra characters don't make the series fresh. You could argue scrapping rings/power-ups/robotnik from the games as making the series fresh but even YOU would agree that would ruin Sonic games.
When I mean by fresh I means adding new ideas, characters in the series so people won't get bored. The new characters has something to do with the storyline in the games they're introduce to. Just like Shadow has a big role in SA2 and Silver is one of the main charcaters in Sonic2K6. Sometimes the new characters becomes very popular depends on how much people likes him or her.

Crap?! Watch E3 now and then guys... Go to www.gamespot.com, look under either the Xbox 360 or the Wii, and look up Sonic, the trailors are there, and gamespot doesn't put up user-made vids as actual trailors.
Furthermore, if you DO look at the trailor of the Xbox 360 version of the next gen Sonic game, it is the same as this, but filmed by a different person because you can hear a crowd rambling on and you see shadows of people passing in front of the camera.

I am the #1 sonic fan. I have beaten every last single game that the title of a game has sonic on it. All the ones that came out in the U.S. Every thing fron sega genises to sonic riders. I think that this game would get a 3 out of 5. 3/5

Actually, this Sonic game will not be coming out for the Revolution. While Sega has announced that there will be a seperate one for the Revolution, they haven't shown any screens of it yet. This game is for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Turned to Dragonbalz, added freaking droids from Star wars, hadfull of new crap characters.
While Sonic Adventure was too childish, this goes opposite direction too.

Sonic is being massacred! Scrap all these crappy characters! Sonic, Tails and Knuckles should be it with the main focus being on Sonic. Sonic Adventure nearly nailed it: less cutscenes, getting rid of BIG, e102 and amy and making tails fly in levels instead of that crappy robot thing. Gotta get the feel of the 2D games (Sonic 3 & Knuckles being my fav Sonic and one of my all time fav games) into 3D then we'll have Sonic back. Sonic Rush was v good except for Blaze. No need for her!

Sorry, but Sega can't please every Sonic fan out there. YOU might want a Sonic back to his roots game in 3D with only Sonic, Knuckles and Tails as the main characters but there are other fans out there who wants to play as new characters then just those three. That's why Sega add new characters and new ideas to keep the series fresh. If they do the same old thing every game then the series will get boring fast.

The reason Sonic is popular is the likes of Sonic 1 and 2 on the Mega Drive, not Sonic Hereos or even the Sonic Adventures on DC. I reckon if Sonic had just been introduced in the current state it would have made a great game or 2 but not the lasting appeal the character has had for 15 years now. These extra characters don't make the series fresh. You could argue scrapping rings/power-ups/robotnik from the games as making the series fresh but even YOU would agree that would ruin Sonic games.

When I mean by fresh I means adding new ideas, characters in the series so people won't get bored. The new characters has something to do with the storyline in the games they're introduce to. Just like Shadow has a big role in SA2 and Silver is one of the main charcaters in Sonic2K6. Sometimes the new characters becomes very popular depends on how much people likes him or her.

Crap?! Watch E3 now and then guys... Go to www.gamespot.com, look under either the Xbox 360 or the Wii, and look up Sonic, the trailors are there, and gamespot doesn't put up user-made vids as actual trailors.
Furthermore, if you DO look at the trailor of the Xbox 360 version of the next gen Sonic game, it is the same as this, but filmed by a different person because you can hear a crowd rambling on and you see shadows of people passing in front of the camera.

This game is supost to come out this year right. If so, were is the information for this game? A video trailer, some more screenshots, or something. I doubt this is gonna be anywere near an AAA game, judging by how sonic team has gotten so lazy over the years. If there's any proof that this game is NOT going to suck (aside from the so called "BREAK THROUGH" grapics) let me know.

I think it'll rock without the 50 thousand sidekicks appearing. It's just Sonic doing what he does best, and that's the beauty of it.

We can't really give the game a rating yet since it's not out yet, not even in Japan I think. We just have to wait and see the gameplay and plot.

from what there showing us the games havin a more mature approach with those robots instead of the funny lookin' ones in the past. sonic looks older and nicely done but we're seeing no story so far except eggmans robots and super sonic. a game based on the comic adventures or old eps would b gd. with sally and antoine ect

I am the #1 sonic fan. I have beaten every last single game that the title of a game has sonic on it. All the ones that came out in the U.S. Every thing fron sega genises to sonic riders. I think that this game would get a 3 out of 5. 3/5

Eh...the game looks ok...and I think since now all sonic fans are use to shadow...haveing a game without shadow may seem a bit weird O_o expecially if "Sonic Advance 2 Battle" Got them into sonic. Although I kinda doubt that. The game looks ok but it doesn't look great.

Actually, this Sonic game will not be coming out for the Revolution. While Sega has announced that there will be a seperate one for the Revolution, they haven't shown any screens of it yet. This game is for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
And by the way, Sonic > Shadow, you disgusting fanboy.
Shadow was the main character of the last Sonic game, and it turned out to be one of the worst games of all time.
