  • @pureplayaa thats not me, thats my friend and its a hilarious picture by the way and if you dont like this video why are you even watching it?

  • @iWantTheMustard

I like the original and saw this come up. I hate the fact that people make money off making a mockery of good songs.

to be honest, I like mustard plug's cd version and this just shows how edited his voice is. This concert seems like it was nothing more but annoying noise.

  • @pureplayaa no you idiot the sound quality sucks for this video, i have seen mustard plug before and they were fucking amazing, they sound so good live. so obviously u have never been to one of their shows

  • @iWantTheMustard

and i obviously meant limp wristed so go back to high school you stupid fuck

  • ska bands have the funniest, most creative names

there's a local band near me called "the not-so-supervillians". makes me laugh every time.

  • Ever hear of "Skankin Pickle"??

  • i hope so. they kick ass.

  • I hate it when people hate ska..

    Its so fucking amazing!

and promotes unity, and togetherness of all mankind..

so even if you dont like the tunes..

Respect the messege and skank along.

  • mustard plug is great live. end of story.

  • tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!!!!

  • what exactly is 'ska'?

i don't really like the remake of the song, but i guess they did what they were trying to do (make a different version of it).

  • this is better than the origonal

  • And that's how you know these guys kick ass. The original was good, just no this good.

  • man, you guys all just need to chill, dude

  • Haha, too bad the Verve Pipe fucking blow. 1994 called and wants you to come back to be its only music fan tool.

  • they called again they want their joke back, dick

  • yeah if you like ska you would like this song.

  • why the fuck are you even on this video... ska-hater. Shove it up your ass. MUSTARD PLUG FOREVER!

  • DUDE... Bitch. Why the fuck are you even here if you don't like ska???? Get the fuck out.

  • i saw them do this live it was good i hate the song but they did i good

  • i never realized what a great gangvocal part this chorus was.

i liked this song, and now that it's ska its even better.

  • aaaaaa i want the recorded version of this song!!!!

  • i'm gonna have to disagree with you right there, i mean i love the original version of this song, but i gotta say i also love this cover

  • its skapunk and it came from jazz and reggae and who cares

  • ska actually predates reggae

  • i love this cover

  • dis is full of idiots who dont know the difference between ska and hardcore

  • Yeah, ska came first. Mustard Plug is an amazing third wave band, though its old stuff still has two-tone roots, like Skank by Numbers. I'm not sure if Streetlight Manifesto is "fourth-wave" (if there such a thing)or if they're even ska at all. Either way Streetlight is by far one of the best bands around.

  • We're on third wave. :)

  • no we're not...we're in skacore

  • My bad bra, I thought we still were on third wave.

  • Ska-core is just another name for third-wave, they're the same thing

  • pretty much. It's now 2008 and the 3rd wave is long dead, but great bands like Mustard Plug and Pietasters are keeping it alive. Here's hoping more bands follow in their footsteps.

  • we're not in any phase, there's bands that do ska, skacore, and 3rd wave. Skacore is pretty much signature to the mighty mighty bosstones. Streetlight Manifesto is whats being called 4th wave (hence the name of the song, Riding The Fourth Wave). This time period isn't really too specific to any one type of ska. Ska has pretty much 3 principal things, brass (or a touch of woodwind), some instrument playing on the up/off beat, and usually a heavy bassline (though not always).

  • brass isn't a requirement (though I do like it) but i mean op ivy and leftover crack are definitely ska with no brass.

    also, the bosstones? skacore?

I think a better example would be the flaming tsunamis or maybe the glow skulls.

    just my thoughts

  • actualy the song "riding the fourth wave" was written like mid 90's by kalnoky when he was with catch 22...just thought id say

  • the flaming tsunamis are amazing i saw them with at the fads last all ages show and the sax player use to go to my church

  • saw these guys last night

    ..jesus christ, it was amazing

  • But I definately doubt Ska came out in the 1950s. I bet it was in like the 1930s but got popular in the 50's and went over to Europe. Then made its way to America. Then 2007.. ITS EVERYWHERE! And Punk with horns would be Ska-core. Like Against All Authority.

  • it's not fuckin 30...ska started in 50's and was sucess only in the 60's with Desmond Dekker in Jamaica and UK...today we're listenin to skacore...totally different from the original ska

  • Well its time to own some people. Ok so Ska came before raggae. Raggae and Punk branched from Ska. There is three waves of ska. First wave was slow, regular old Ska. Second was two-tone. Third wave is a more upbeat go crazy skankin style of music. Like Ska-core.

  • sorry dude, reggae came far before ska, hence the different waves. first wave was reggae, second wave was two-tone, third wave is ska, and fourth wave is more of a streetlight manifesto sort of ordeal. it doens't matter though cause mustard plug fucking rocks.

  • No way my friend. Ska started in the late fifties...you can take an example with the skatalites, they where much more before than reggae.

  • bhahaha, sorry dude, ska came before raggae, raggae was one of the things that came out of ska, do your research. PS were still in the third wave

  • First off it's REGGAE not raggae big difference, and shows what you know. Ska came from jamaica in a form called REGGAE and in Britain in the fifties, in which the skinhead thing originated. and eventually turned into ska. First wave- Toots and the maytals

    second wave- The specials

    Third wave- Mustard Plug

    There ya fuckin go.

  • ska was before reggae you twat

  • How can you ruin a crappy song? They made it better.

  • No Ska isnt Punk. Ska came way before Punk. Without Ska there would be no Punk.

  • Gods, this is horrible. The orignal song was so sad; it's not suppose to be up beat.

  • That's the point. It's not supposed to be up beat, that's why they turned it into an up beat song. That's what punk does. If you don't like it, don't listen to punk.

  • Totally agree with you. Except, this ska buddy.

  • Ska is punk, just with Brass and Saxes.

  • only the popular ska. The fact is, without ska, there would be no Reggae.

  • true

  • this is what they sound like live

  • yes this is them, the vid just has bad audio

  • is everybody absolutely sure this is mustard plug? becuz ive never seen them live, but in their studio stuff, they don't sound like elmer fudd when they sing

  • the only problem with ska is that the guys playing trumpet or w/e look so stiff and wierd when theyre playing

  • the original was good, but i think this tops it.

  • ese fresh...ese freshMAN!!!

    es tu tema novato...

  • this guys rock way better live, last time i saw them was at the flint local432, they closed with this song. it was awesome, but im not goin back to flint thats for sure lmao.

  • are u guys kidding this version of the freshmen is way better!

  • This video kind of makes the song seem suckish. But it is really an awsome cover!

  • no way. this band is fucking amazing. so yeah. it's a good cover.

  • Ohhh, I get it. They sing the Freshmen, only faster... and suckier.

  • this is complete garbage

  • are you people kidding? this is complete garbage. the original is a classic

  • mustard plug is so underrated

  • agreed

  • so true

  • Mmmmmmmm, Mustard Plug... a local band from my area of Michigan. Good shit.

  • this is good music!

  • Personally, when I hear this cover, I wonder why hasn't everyone heard this. Totally blows the original out of the water. This vid is kind of shit, but not even that can hide the genius of Mustard Plug!

  • awesome song by the verbe pipe, even more awesome cover my mustard plug :)

  • Nice cover..

  • friggen awesome

  • love it
