Wow Lewis this time is really great. I thought about trying it too but then I looked at vips: You're #3 at this combo with a 1:06.98 (loosing .4 against kunta). In this vid you started lap1 at 14.15 and you started lap 2 at 1:21.50. Means you did a 1:07.35 in lap 1 and a 1:08.10 in lap2. Awsome within the calculation of missing boost, especially at the beginning of lap2. And you put 2 good laps together too. Great!
Cheers for the compliments hburg, and the awesome calculations!
At the given time, I would have beaten Kunta's ghost but unfortunately on my TA I have a bad boost explosion going over the finish line. I hit the floor and only just make it over the line, so lost a bit of time there. It doesn't matter as much now, as he went back and improved by two tenths.
By your calculations then a 2:28 two lap time should be more than achievable.
Yeah 2:28 for you or Cirrus lol. BTW i'm pretty sure it's quicker to boost in the water and i also believe in the slamboost at the middle of the track. I know there's a way to avoid the bump left and then the bump right without slamming but you're in curves then. I think if Cirrus did a 2:29 without water- and slamboosting it's because of his awsome smooth driving in general.
Oh i missed that one... Great run Lewis, respect below 2:30! And great boosting strategy lol.... maxboosting maxboosting maxboosting. I notice this game turns into maxboosting more and more...
very good time and very good quality mate, however i think i might just stick to my digital camera, would be really interested to know how much u got it for and where u got it from
Yeah the quality is fantastic for under 100MB ... sacrificing unnecessary quality for quicker uploads would be what I'd do too ... it looks as good as anyone needs to learn from anyway ... this run is quite amusing, I admire your determination to Max Boost just about everything ... even through the water haha ... but I'm sure it must be advantageous to save in several places ... I had a 2:29 also in an online race with optimusprime7660 ... I'd have to try Time Attack ... Kunta's got it I think
Kunta's got it, and I was ahead of it until I failed my over the line explosion, it was rubbish (not enough air) and cost me 1st place :(
I always found it quicker to boost through water rather than saving, that's what I've always done on TA and it's always worked out. The RT loses too much speed if it doesn't boost in the water, and prolonged boost is virtually no quicker than splurts of max boosting.
The only thing I try and do is make sure I time boost over certain bumps. That slam boost half way round the circuit, before you split right to take the jump into the hairpin, is actually quite essential despite looking pointless, and even more so in the rally.
The physics and requirements can work in weird ways.
Interesting to see that the Slam Boost you're talking about is essential in Racing Trucks ... I didn't use them in my 2:29 ... The more left you are there, the flatter and easier it is to turn so I've never felt it necessary in the Truck ... I agree it's essential with the Rally Car though, they don't handle the mud as well ... I think good raceline may pay off at the point you're talking about ... we'll see ... I'd have to give it a shot on Time Attack obviously ... can't tell a lot from runs
Nice one Lewis. Indeed, the racing truck is popular at the moment. Btw: when I maxboost at the end here, I usually hit the top of the finish line thing and lose seconds...:-)
Quality video mate.. Great run with this and under 2.30...WOW. Do you think the early boost explosion over the line is quicker than running over...?. I only ask because it seems so slow through the air until it crosses the line on your video..
Awesome, under 2:30! I've been wanting to improve this, I can see I'm missing one max slam. Interesting boost conservation tricks at the start :) Great video quality too.
Is it just me or is the racing truck suddenly popular these days? I keep picking it wherever I can find an excuse to use it.
tried this a couple of days ago thinking your time was in the low 2:28's and got 2:27.85. :)

That's the one I was missing. Otherwise my line gets all wobbly there.
