That is why I think the EPO accusation is STUPID. I know what high altitude can do for you when training. It is a matter of conditioning. In boxing you need HgH along with roids to make it more effective in boxing. Blood testing is not the best possible way to determine if a person is on EPO anyway. @ezekielthemack The best way to test for drugs is urine. These drugs talked about is already in your system. These are naturally occurring hormones. Your body maintains certain amounts of these hormones. The excess gets removed in the form of urine. If there are high levels of these hormones(drugs/PED'S) can only mean 1 u have a condition, 2 ur a genetic freak, 3 you're taking PEDS. During the second negotiation for the fight, Pacquiao agreed to a 14 day cut off but Floyd wanted random testing done all the way to the day of the fight. Then after that Pacquiao agreed(might be a rumor) agreed to random testing until the day of the fight but floyd demanded more money. @old19999 I know the olympic style drug testing is a lot more expensive than the pee test but I also blame the boxing commission for using these outdated drug testing. What they should do is do random testing but not too many tests to keep the costs lower. The only fighters I can think of that actually got caught using were James Toney and Fernando Vargas. I was shocked when Shane Mosley admitted that he used peds.

@pwa30 apparently, the us anti doping agency had a meeting with the nevada athletic comission and they told the nevada comission, that they should blood test as well, but the comission is worried, about blood testing, because they dont want fighters having hematomas and badly applied injections, that can damage a vain, close to a fight..those were some of the reasons.

@old19999 The real breakdown of the negotiation was not the blood testing. It was Floyd's insistence on the USADA to do the testing. The problem with that situation is USADA is a private organization with ties to Golden Boy Promotion. Arum wanted the WADA but Mayweather's camp continually insist on USADA.Then NSAC got involved. It was ruled out that blood testing is not necessary because of it's inaccuracy.

Manny is not on steroids or else he would be exhibiting physical after affect of prolonged steroid use like severe acne, testicular atrophy ( no knowledge of that), change of behavior- showing signs of aggressiveness, male pattern baldness, and sudden obvious muscularity in a short time. If the drugs described by posters here are really existing - make a boxer quick and strong, and untectable, how many boxers are now using them?
Questions to ask:
Are those drugs really existing in the market or just in the imagination of some extra intelligent people? When did Pacquiao start using drugs, 1999, 2004 or 2008? Did Pacquiao start ingesting drugs when Maywether came to the scene to be his next victim? Is It only Pacquiao having the sole access to those drugs; any other boxer?
I like this guy's explanation. It makes absolute sense. When you cut down a lot of weight you're losing something. I heard Pacquiao was able to eat before his weigh in against Clottey, which means he didn't have to struggle to make weight and he didn't lose anything.
mayweather's the one who uses PEDS man he uses xylocaine (painkiller) that mask athletes' pain so they can continue to compete and perform beyond their usual pain thresholds. So you guys can call mayweather a real cheater cause he wouldn't be able to continue his career without them. why be so upset when pacquiao is even willing to take a test right after the fight in the dressing room isn't that a perfect way? they could nullify the fight result right away if something is very wrong.

How in the world can you be right in this instance? I just proved to you that Blood test is not necessary to test for EPO. All the blood test does is tests for the thicker blood by measuring the proportion of RBC in a blood sample. By itself, this test is not a good indicator of EPO abuse. CONTINUED 3

That is why I think the EPO accusation is STUPID. I know what high altitude can do for you when training. It is a matter of conditioning. Training @ a high altitude. In boxing you need HgH along with roids to make it more effective in boxing. Blood testing is not the best possible way to determine if a person is on EPO anyway. Besides this issue has already been visited by NSAC. Floyd brought this forth & he lost. Looks like he is losing in the lawsuit. I think not sure. Last I heard Mayweather's did not show up for court.

@ezekielthemack The best way to test for drugs is urine. These drugs talked about is already in your system. These are naturally occurring hormones. Your body maintains certain amounts of these hormones. The excess gets removed in the form of urine. If there are high levels of these hormones(drugs/PED'S) can only mean 1 u have a condition, 2 ur a genetic freak, 3 you're taking PEDS. When testing the MD check for past history of problems that can explain the excess of the hormone in your urine.

Point 2 - As a welterweight, he getrs to eat a lot of food and does not have to starve himself like he did at the lower weight classes so that will improve physical performance. @old19999 At first Manny wanted a 24 day cut off for the testing but mayweather wanted a 14 day cut off. During the second negotiation for the fight, Pacquiao agreed to a 14 day cut off but Floyd wanted random testing done all the way to the day of the fight. Then after that Pacquiao agreed(might be a rumor) agreed to random testing until the day of the fight but floyd demanded more money. Anyway I blame both fighters for this fight not happening, they both have big egos.

@old19999 I know the olympic style drug testing is a lot more expensive than the pee test but I also blame the boxing commission for using these outdated drug testing. What they should do is do random testing but not too many tests to keep the costs lower. The only fighters I can think of that actually got caught using were James Toney and Fernando Vargas. I was shocked when Shane Mosley admitted that he used peds.

@pwa30 apparently, the us anti doping agency had a meeting with the nevada athletic comission and they told the nevada comission, that they should blood test as well, but the comission is worried, about blood testing, because they dont want fighters having hematomas and badly applied injections, that can damage a vain, close to a fight..those were some of the reasons.

Why in the world would they be sending an attorney to determine if whether blood testing should be implemented for the NSAC? Dr. Voy who is the Chief Medical officer of the US Olympic team testified that it is unnecessary to do blood testing for the sport of boxing.

@old19999 The real breakdown of the negotiation was not the blood testing. It was Floyd's insistence on the USADA to do the testing. The problem with that situation is USADA is a private organization with ties to Golden Boy Promotion. Arum wanted the WADA but Mayweather's camp continually insist on USADA.Then NSAC got involved. It was ruled out that blood testing is not necessary because of it's inaccuracy.

Manny is not on steroids or else he would be exhibiting physical after affect of prolonged steroid use like severe acne, testicular atrophy ( no knowledge of that), change of behavior- showing signs of aggressiveness, male pattern baldness, and sudden obvious muscularity in a short time. If he was taking steroids, there is no way he could maintain the 147 lb for a long time, he would gradually get up in weight due to the increase of muscularity. A sure sign of steroid user, severe back-acne.

i've never taken steroids, so i needed some clarifications and ended up here. i am a huge fan of manny pacquiao. however, i can't think of a good reason for anyone to turn down $35m because they didn't want a blood test. i'm open to suggestions. i've heard that it may weaken him. it's not a transfusion, it's a small amount of blood. i've had many blood tests. personally, i can't say i felt any different. and yes, i exercised on those days. if it was me, i would take any test to clear my name?

Questions to ask:
Are those drugs really existing in the market or just in the imagination of some extra intelligent people? When did Pacquiao start using drugs, 1999, 2004 or 2008? Did Pacquiao start ingesting drugs when Maywether came to the scene to be his next victim? Is It only Pacquiao having the sole access to those drugs; any other boxer?

mayweather's the one who uses PEDS man he uses xylocaine (painkiller) that mask athletes' pain so they can continue to compete and perform beyond their usual pain thresholds. @pwa30 Floyd is an example of a person putting on 30- 40 lbs of muscle, since he was16, the natural way. Pac is an example of a man who puts on 30-40 pounds of muscle using HGH and PED's to gain more power in his punches like baseball players did to hit home runs.

And their is a difference between height and weight. This topic is about his weight and like I said, his natural body weight is between 140 and 150.
