People flip the mask up on their head because it is easy. You aren't supposed to but it seems more acceptable these days when we are all out diving. Like most other things, it is about ease of the sport. For me I have two young divers (my kids) so I am more worried about being in tune with their diving needs than flipping my mask around to the back of my head.

@LCDLGAZ yeah these are snorkelers. We explain it to them and remind them...but most have never snorkeled before and forget. :)

haha. yep! we tell our snorkelers all the time but the mask still goes up...especially when someone just proposed marriage to you under the water :)

@infernalzen like i said, they must be part of padi. Padi is far too relaxed when it comes to giving noobs training.

I'd go with Naui anyday and would recommend it to anyone looking for a complete and comprehensive training in scuba diving or snorkeling.
