Love Shubha Mudgal. She has followed the true calling of an artist by following her heart and instincts. Many of the old dowagers of 'tradition' have outcasted her for this as they will refute anything which shakes their complacent smugness. But who can call themselves true artists if they do not experiment, explore, try the various shades of their personas? I like Shubha's independence which must be very upsetting for those who keep a death grip on our culture. Art without freedom is caricature

I agree completely and wholeheartedly with Jaibhuvan. We have a very bad habit of gilding even those who opposed any such overawed fawning. Kabit, Sai Baba etc were all against this ridiculous and hypocritical bedazzlement, and in giving thrones and crowns even to Sai Baba, a person vehemently against such gestures, is very very pitiable.

It is unfortunate that kabir is made out as a God in some of his pictures, when the hold point of his poetry was to find spiritual freedom by looking inwards .
