Alas: you're wrong. Ton van der Meer played BASS in Smyle and he was in a later line-up, not in "the original band". The guitar player was/is Mark Boon, who gained world fame with DIESEL in the 1980s. He wrote the alltime great "Sausolito Summernight".
Just for the record, the picture shown 10 seconds into the video does not show the original drummer and bass guitar player that perform in this song (these were Paul and Peter van der Vossen respectively). Great song though :-)

Helaas was dat niet de originele band die je zag. De gitarist Ton van der meer was namelijk overleden op 32 jarige leeftijd.
Overigens wel grappig als ik dit liedje hoor... Omdat Ton van der meer de vader was van mijn Halfbroer, Stanley van der meer.
Funny to hear this song, because my half-brother is the Child of the gitarist, Ton van der Meer.
