cute! my hubby tries to grow stuff too in the city...LOL last year he did really good with tomatoes but I don't think we are going to have a cold summer with all those volcanoes going off and spewing ash in the air for the year..Oh well ...good luck with that garden.:)
His garden looks great! Looks like you both are going to get allot of veggies from it! My Twin used to go grow her own pumpkins! She is really good at it! :)
Hello Amelia I went on twitter and either I am an old fart but i hate it! Its like internet texting. I am now three weeks out post opt tummy tuck and I still can't lift or do much according to the doc. and i hate wearing this binder. How long after your tt did you go back to work ?
For everyone thinking to get the surgery for removal of excess skin, will you please update us on the scaring after all this time? I never see any scars on your arms. Are they gone??
The garden is awesome. My husband love to garden too!. I have watched all your vlog posts and really enjoy your insight. Like many, I found you here when I was searching the web for information about GBS. I am a month away and your posts have been so helpful.
Thanks sugar! I am so glad you found me and I hope I help you avoid a few mishaps, I made the videos to help anyone who wanted to know what life after WLS is like, and not to be afraid of it. Feel free to comment and ask questions, even on my older videos. I also am on Twitter and you can chat directly with me there, i am on often and I always respond.
That is the most weirdly organized garden I have ever seen, but it is interesting. to be able to go to different spots in the yard and pick some fresh veggies. I grew up on a farm and we had to grow things in long rowes side by side. But we grew tons of food. That is awsome, I hope everything grows in well. :-)
Did your hubby say he was growing 'Collards'? As in Collard greens? If so, I wouldn't be surprised! It's a southern delicacy-you guys are in SC aren't cha? :-) Btw...Joe's gardening skills are TOP NOTCH!!
Well done to you both to your on your improving health and to your hubbie for his gardening skills when you refer to 'collars' do you mean cauliflowers. Here in Ireland we do plant alot of our own veg too but different climates mean different veggies but they all taste good.Carrots, Lettuce,French beans,Courgettes,Potatoes and loads of them.
Did I see asparagus fronds???? so proud! It looks good. He's doing well even in the smaller space. Joel's a natural! He needed the bigger garden 'cos he loves great food. Oh check out the orchard! We''ll can like crazy if the Lord is willing.
That was fun. It makes me yearn for spring where I live. It's still too cold here to plant anything yet. The trees are still without leaves and the grass is brown and dormant. Thanks for the spring preview!
i love how he planted around the trees. i never thought about that. we just planted tomatoes, jalepinos and bell peppers. want asparagaus too! good job!
You're hubby certainly has 2 green thumbs.. Keep up the great work Joel!!! Happy Easter to you both, your mom & families.. Take care keep safe..xo from all of us here
I did make a vid, but we met in Atlanta at Frogs Cantina on Cinco de Mayo 2006, 2 months later we eloped. July 7 will be 3 years married. Very happy ;)
We had a frost scare earlier this week, the strawberries in front of the house were not covered but seemed to do well, all the back yard stuff got covered
Every time you mention something about your hubby, I can tell you are just so proud. You should be! He seems like a wonderful partner and he's got a nice little garden. You go Joel.
Joel has a very handsome brother, but he married the lovely and awesome Rene whom I love dearly.
I am SUPER proud of Joel. I never really get to mention how cool his job is, he is always winning awards. He designs Gas turbines to run on alternative fuels. He writes patents for things he has invented and is crazy smart.
My Mom plans to teach me canning, so I can Can the veggies and enjoy them for years... hopefully he will get enough going. he has long term goals for this garden to expand
Well, this day & age, why not expand it and live it up? It takes a lot of time, but I would LOVE to have a garden. It'd be very therapeutic. I have the land to plant a nice-sized garden, just haven't done it. I need to. I've said that for years.
That is so cool. My hubby has been talking to me lately about how much he wants to do that. He wants to do an herb garden especially. I would so love that. Your hubby is doing a nice job. It looks great.
Oh YUM!! We live in a Duplex, so no room really to plant a full blown garden...but I am going this weekend and getting a few of the "Topsy Trees" to do all of my squash and tomatoes and maybe some bell peppers in...and of course my favorite, STRAWBERRIES!! He did an AWESOME job.. =)
Everything looks great except the grass! lol :)
