  • @mraw98 If they don't be the first to set up a shop!

  • She makes them with Italian meringue and as result they turned with a glossy finish which makes them look more professional and upscale.

  • i wish i could eat things like this, i am so unhappy i can't ;(

  • Macarons remind me of that one spongebob episode where he made "pretty patties"

  • Y I NO TRY MACAROONS YET?!?!!

  • italian? french? can someone tell me what's the different?

  • @tigerbalm007 French Macarons are generally created by whipping the egg whites with sugar until stiff peaks form. Which appears to be a "meringue". Italian Macarons have same procedure except instead of whipping the egg whites, The sugar is boiled with water first then added to lightly frothy egg whites. However, Both look the same and taste the same. I'd say the reason why most are confused is this term Macaron is derived from an Italian word. Also, As I said, French Macarons appear the same.

  • the way u say o magazine is sooooooooooo braggy

  • Pretty patties :D

  • Oh wow, they look delicious :D

  • How do you get macarons to taste more flavorful and less almondy?

  • @justjuli26 Almonds are an optional ingredient for Macarons. Use less almond or use other flavorings instead. Any ground nuts are fine.

  • @XSevenSonata thanks for the info. thinking of using peanut. they're cheaper.

  • @tigerbalm007 Of course. I'm not sure if you enjoy Walnuts but they're suited and generally affordable too. But, Peanuts are commonly substituted and fine.

  • Cool man. And this is not pancake

  • @1995wkw What pancakes?

  • The pancake is very colourful

  • these look like colorburgers..!

  • wow...i never tasted these. I didnt know what macaroons were, but i checked up in my local supermarket and they are like coconut biscuits, the ones i hate!..maybe thats the British version? lol

  • @lozzymagoo These are not macaroons these are MACARONS. It's very different. Macaroons are made of coconut.

  • @bizila2008 I see, well thankyou for pointing that out, but everyone gets the names mixed up & the only macaroons i knew were the coconut ones, but obviously they are not the same.

  • @lozzymagoo No problem:) I know it's confusing. Some ppl say the words are interchangeable but I am French speaking and macaron usually refers to little colored pastries with all kinds of flavours whereas macaroon often refers to the shredded coconut kind that we call "Congolais" or other names.

  • @bizila2008 Yes, These are Macarons and not Macaroons. However, Macaroons originally contain ground almond. Generally more ground almond is used then Macarons. The flavor is personal preference based though and coconut can be used instead. But there is no specific ingredient used for flavoring with either Macaron or Macaroon.

  • NYC may have Ladurée opening in July, and we've got the next best thing, Sucré in NOLA. Folks forget that NOLA is Paris in the USA. I most definitely will be there during the Essence Music Festival to purchase a dozen or two.

i'd be delighted to have a text recipe for this as i will try making some in my restaurant school.

    thanks for great video

  • @fabbe0 At this time we do not have a published recipe. Stay tuned :).

  • @JDsNola Thank you so much!

  • I'm confused. :S The other recipe, doesnt really make the sugar a syrup, But, will making the sugar syrup be more better? Cause people say this is the italian way, when it says "French Macarons" Thanks. :)

  • @Levintagee We find that cooking the sugar makes the mix more stable.

  • @JDsNola It yummy, Do they sell on singapore? i wanna try some soon.

  • @Levintagee I've done them both ways, and making the syrup makes things MUCH easier and less likely to mess up during the baking process.

  • Are these the legendary "Pretty Patties"?

  • @ChimiChangaClan aww dude i was gonna say that :( , they tottally look like bikini bottom snacks

  • Nice, I'm a pastry chef, I was french trained 40 years ago.

The cost of the tant pour tante (white gold) and the rediculous amount of labor involved are enough to steer me away from doing macaroons on a regular basis, I only do them occasionally. Its hard to get the price to make it worth bothering.

  • @drumsweet well they are right both ways are correct i work at a place where we make them and both ways are correct our pastry chefs worked in france and said both ways are correct

  • @Nate213k well thank you for clearing that up. :-)

  • could you pleas write abaut ingredienten

  • hey i also have try to make the macaroon myself but just didnt come out like yours....did i did something wrong??...and why u need to add egg white again in the end??....

  • I love macarons,

  • that is WAY cool [=

  • Sucré is the adjective of Sucre... and she pronounces it quite right! Do you know french at all?
