@swellclimber It's called breath control...when you're good at it (which RA is), the huge breath isn't all that necessary or even obvious. RA's been rapping since the late 80s and I'm positive he's not cheating in the studio...if you're not convinced, check out vids of his live performances because he murders beats live too. You don't have to like him, but he deserves mad props for being one of the illest MCs in the game. Peace.

It might have taken a few times, but i am pretty sure R.A did this whole verse without stopping his recording.... you can obviously hear him breathing between bars. Besides, i have watched a few videos of him live, and he sounds pretty close to his recordings when he performs live, so i don't think it really matters, if he did indeed punch-in
