The airborne have not been in 8th ID since early 70's , That's when they were moved to Italy. Was there in Mainz 78-81

I was in CSC 2/68 Armor in 76 to 78. No airborne and we all had M16s. That Vidieo was made well before 79. Very good Vidieo.

Sure brought back some memory's.

I wish they still had the airborne brigade when I was there in 86.I was in A co.3/8 Inf at Lee Barracks.

I was with the 2/13 Inf in Mannhien '76-79. No airborne then. No M114 and our M113 were camo as were our unit patches.

The 8th had already switched to the M16s by the time I got there in Jan 1965. No M14's around.
